So I love this. When we are talking about the classification of a tie it is more about communicating where it is more specifically. It's not the location, it's the tissue restriction and tightness and how it mimits movement that matters.

Y’all.
Recently a lot of IBCLCs got an email asking us to contribute quotes to a pumping schedule website. When I looked at it, I realized their advice was not good and did not want to be associated with it. They still have me listed on their directory.
But yeah, no, please don’t rely on this website for a generated schedule. It’s the opposite of personalized care. 💜
Even if your baby is tied to the tip of their tongue and everyone agrees “that’s a tie!” baby still needs and benefits from bodywork before procedure.
This is why I committed so much time to learning CST. This is why I offer CST!

When you aren't pumping what you expect I will ask about:
your pump, your routine, the frequency, fl**ge sizing, and your pump parts. Often the first thing to check are the duckbills/membrane. Next are the backflow protectors.
Take a look at what backflow protectors you're using. Many folks are using the parts that aeroflow sends (sidenote - they're not free! They are charging your insurance for it!). Consider going back to the original Spectra ones that look more clear if you're noticing any suction issues.
