At Ties, we believe adoptees should be at the center of every trip we create. We intentionally build moments throughout our trips for adoptees to connect, ask questions, reflect, share, or simply take it all in. Our trips are shaped with the understanding that returning to a place connected to your story can carry a little more weight.

From traveling alongside other adoptees to Connect & Chats and an adoptee travel team who understands firsthand, we want you to have space to experience the trip in whatever way feels right for you.

Through Gift of Identity-Grants For International Adoptees, financial assistance with grants up to $3,000 is available for adoptees traveling with The Ties Program to help make heritage travel more accessible, empowering you to explore your birth culture, personal stories, and community.

The Ties Foundation is a new nonprofit organization created to support adoptees and their loved ones through expanded access to resources, opportunities, and connection.

While The Ties Program and The Ties Foundation are completely separate organizations, they share a common commitment to the adoption community and will exist as sister organizations, each with their own mission, leadership, and work.

Adoption conversations can bring up moments where we’re challenged to learn, reflect, and see things differently. This month, we’ll explore those “growth edges” with curiosity, openness, and compassion while making space for meaningful conversation and connection.

What to expect: gentle prompts, space to share (or just listen), and a community that gets it. 💛 We’ll be hosting two intentional spaces: an adoptee-only chat and a parent/loved one chat.
