Split Stone Contracting is a Bellingham-based, family-run, small business that provides a full range of residential and commercial hardscaping and excavation services throughout Washington’s Whatcom, Skagit, San Juan, and Island Counties.
We built these steel garden beds last year. After the season long battle with deer, the client asked us to return to build them this deer proof garden surround.
I don’t think the deer are getting in now!

Here is a small driveway / patio refresh we are currently working on. We used a combination of reclaimed, and new steel to create a small retaining wall to level the area out. Accented with a small planting strip along the top of the wall to help visually soften the new space. We also added steel edging along the lawn edge to help separate the garden space from the lawn.
