Founded in 2000 by Gloria DeGaetano, the institute expanded its reach internationally and formed a sister organization, Parent Coach International in 2012. Currently Parent Coach Certification® Training is available in 20 countries. PCI Certified Parent Coaches® who graduated from PCI have successfully completed a year-long, graduate-level program in order to receive their Parent Coach Certification®. teachers, counselors, social workers, retired educators, mental health professionals and parent educators are drown to the program because our standards are the highest in the parent coaching industry. The PCI uses a specific parent coaching model with a proven track record of successfully helping parents reduce their stress, engage in brain-based parenting strategies, while discovering more of their own strengths and their children's strengths as well. Do toddlers learn from educational videos?
Research suggests that children under age 3 learn little from screens alone compared to what they learn hrough real interaction with a caring adult.
If you choose to watch together, make it interactive: talk about what’s happening, ask questions, connect the video to real life, and follow it with play, reading, or conversation.
