It's a different level of love, to be thought of by so many other essential community programs. The gifting and sharing of goods has brought an abundance of useful items into our outreach this year.
Today we picked up 800 bags of top shelf mesquite BBQ potato chips to serve and hand out alongside our community meals and programs. HUGE thank you to Opportunity School For Women for the potato chips and for doing the unseen labor of logistics. A lot of sweat equity goes in to securing, transporting, managing, and distributing goods to our neighbors.
P. S. We're looking for shelves so our office can get organized. Preferably wire rack style, for space and durability.

This week we took some time to feed our plants extra nutrients. With all the compounding factors we've personally had this growing season, it became evident our plant friends could use a boost.
In the pictures below, you can see the process of feeding the plants some organic boosters. Hopefully fruit will be forthcoming soon. :)

We finally have tomatoes sprouting!😊🌱 It'll be a late harvest but it will end up in somebody's tummy and that's what matters.
Also happy to get some 60-day variety pumpkins in the ground. 😃🎃
They may be ready before Halloween or maybe not until closer to Thanksgiving.
Either way, we're growing with what we've got and sometimes that's how community makes it through the harder times.
