They are gentle, loving, and such good little dogs. They do not need a forever home right now— they just need a temporary foster home where they can feel safe, loved, and cared for while we work to find their forever families.

We have 2 precious senior poodles that need a foster home or two. Both are super sweet, both are good with other dogs, both are good with well behaved children. Both of these sweethearts are females. If you are interested in fostering or adopting, please fill out an application.

In order to foster, you must live within 45 minutes of Broken, Arrow, Ok

🌶️🐾 TWO SPICY LITTLE CHIHUAHUAS SEEKING VERY SPECIAL HOMES! 🐾🌶️

These two handsome boys are officially available for adoption—but there’s a catch: they are terrified of people and may try to bite when they feel frightened or cornered. They are not “bad” dogs; they are scared little dogs who have not yet learned that people can be trusted. 💔

Because of this, ONLY experienced, patient adopters should apply.

Each boy is approximately one year old and:

🐾 Neutered
🐾 Up to date on vaccinations
🐾 Current on rabies vaccination
🐾 Heartworm negative
🐾 Fecal-test negative
🐾 Microchipped

These babies are going to need TIME, PATIENCE, LOVE, and realistic expectations. It may take one week, one month, one year—or even longer—to earn their trust. Their adopters must be willing to love them at their own pace without rushing or forcing them.

🏡 Adoption requirements:

🐾 Chihuahua or fearful-dog experience
🐾 A very secure, escape-proof yard
🐾 No small children
🐾 Plenty of patience and understanding
🐾 A lifelong commitment—even if progress is slow

We do adopt out of state; however, you must have an approved application and be willing to travel to pick up your dog in person. We do not ship or transport dogs to adopters.

If the adoption does not work out for any reason, you are responsible for safely returning the dog to us.

These little boys deserve people who will see past their fear and give them all the time they need to feel safe. 💔 HERE’S ANOTHER SIDE OF RESCUE MOST PEOPLE NEVER SEE… 💔 🗒 (Pic is AI, words are straight from my heart)

The worry doesn’t stop when one of our dogs gets adopted.

They may leave our home and officially become part of another family, but they are forever etched into our hearts. 🐾❤️

When we get that phone call saying one of our former rescue dogs has been rushed to an emergency vet, we worry right along with their family.

We talk with the adopters. We try to support them. We try to calm their fears. We try to stay strong on the phone because, in that moment, they need us to be strong.

And then we hang up.

That’s when our own worry sets in.

And sometimes, that’s when the tears begin to fall. 😢

We cry for the little dog we once held in our arms and promised a better life. But we also cry for their adopters, because we know what they’re going through.

We’ve been there.

We know what it feels like to sit helplessly waiting for answers. We know the fear of wondering if a dog you love is going to make it through the night. We know how long those hours can feel when all you can do is wait, hope and pray. 💔🙏

So, after that phone call ends, there may be tears, heartache and a sleepless night while we wait for the next update right along with their family.

Last evening, we received one of those calls.

Thankfully, tonight we finally received GOOD NEWS! ❤️ The little dog is still at the emergency center but is improving and will most likely be able to go home tomorrow afternoon.

What a relief. 🥹❤️

We’re sharing this because sometimes people may wonder why we haven’t answered an application, returned a phone call, replied to a text, or responded to a message right away.

Please know that we aren’t ignoring you.

There may be something happening behind the scenes that you know nothing about. We may be dealing with a medical emergency, helping an adopter through a crisis, caring for one of the dogs currently in rescue, handling appointments, medications, transports, paperwork…or simply trying to have a little bit of a life of our own, too.

Rescue doesn’t have business hours.

And loving these dogs doesn’t end when the adoption papers are signed. ❤️🐾

So, if it takes us a little longer to respond sometimes, please give us a little grace.

There is usually much more happening behind the scenes than anyone ever sees. 💕

We have 3 young male Chihuahuas, all just under a year old, who are VERY skittish and desperately need foster homes with patient, understanding people. 💙

Please remember — a terrified dog can sometimes ACT like a mean dog. They may bark, growl, hide, back away, or act unsure when you try to touch them. They might even try to nip at you!

That doesn’t mean they are mean. They are SCARED dogs who are trying to protect themselves while they adjust. 💔

Everything around them is new, and they need someone willing to give them time to decompress, learn to trust, and realize they are finally safe.

❤️ Let them come around at THEIR pace
❤️ Celebrate every tiny step forward
❤️ NO SMALL CHILDREN IN THE HOME — these boys need a calm, quiet environment while they learn to trust

There is something incredibly special about watching a frightened little dog slowly learn that people can be kind. 🥹

🐾 HUXLEY UPDATE! 🐾

Everyone has been asking about our sweet Huxley, and we’re thrilled to share that he is doing really well! 💙

He is playful, happy, and so incredibly adorable! Huxley still has an occasional tremor or seizure, but thankfully, it lasts only a few seconds and then passes.

He has come such a long way since he first arrived, and seeing him enjoying life makes our hearts so happy! 🥰

Please note that Huxley is not available for adoption at this time. He will not be available until he has been neutered. When that time comes, he will require a special home with someone who is knowledgeable and experienced in caring for puppies with hydrocephalus.
