One Hope Project
Our office hours are M-Th 8:30-4pm. Evening and weekend availability is by appt only.
📱 We live in a world that tells us every bite needs to be measured, tracked, and analyzed. But for many people, what starts as “awareness” slowly becomes control.
Our bodies weren’t designed to be ruled by apps, streaks, or numbers. They were designed to communicate with us.
Learning to trust your body’s hunger, fullness, and satisfaction cues can be a powerful step toward healing your relationship with food. You don’t have to earn your meals. You don’t have to justify every bite. And you don’t need permission to nourish yourself.
Food is fuel, but it’s also meant to be enjoyed. 💚

Clean eating sounds healthy on the surface, but for many people it can become dieting in disguise.
When we label foods as “clean” or “bad,” we often create rules that lead to guilt, shame, and an unhealthy relationship with food. Food doesn’t have moral value, and your worth isn’t determined by what you eat.
True health isn’t built on fear or perfection. It’s built on nourishment, flexibility, and giving yourself permission to enjoy all foods without guilt.
Let’s stop chasing control and start building peace with food.💚
There was so much more than movement happening at the Move with Hope event.
It brought our community together to celebrate joyful movement, support eating disorder recovery, and remind people that our worth is never determined by calories burned, miles completed, or the number on a scale.
Whether you ran, walked, practiced yoga, volunteered, or simply showed up, you helped make a difference. Every step taken helps One Hope Project continue providing hope, recovery resources, and prevention education to those impacted by eating disorders.đź’š
Disrupting Diet Culture with One Hope Project 💚 Today’s Topic: Restriction Can Lead to Overeating ⬇️
We’ve been taught that more restriction equals more control. But our bodies were never designed to thrive that way.
When you restrict food, whether physically by eating less or mentally by labeling foods as “bad,” your body notices. It responds by increasing hunger, cravings, and food-focused thoughts because it’s doing exactly what it was created to do: keep you alive.
So if you’ve ever felt “out of control” around food after a period of restriction, that isn’t a lack of willpower or discipline. It’s your body trying to protect you.
The cycle of restriction and overeating isn’t a personal failure, it’s a biological response.
Healing begins when we stop fighting our bodies and start working with them instead. Food isn’t something you have to earn, and your worth has never been determined by what’s on your plate. 💚
Food guilt has convinced so many of us that eating is something we need to earn, control, or apologize for.
But guilt after eating isn’t evidence that you’ve done something wrong. More often, it’s the echo of messages, rules, and beliefs you’ve carried for years.
The good news? What was learned can be unlearned.
Healing doesn’t happen by following stricter food rules, it begins by challenging the lies that told you your worth was tied to what you eat.
One meal doesn’t define you. One snack doesn’t determine your value. You are worthy of nourishment, freedom, and peace.
Disrupting Diet Culture with One Hope Project: Health Content
Today’s lie: “If it’s labeled healthy, it must be good for me.”
Truth: Just because something is marketed as “healthy” doesn’t mean it supports your well-being.
So much health content promotes restriction, fear, and control just dressed up as wellness. But true health isn’t only about what’s on your plate. It also includes your emotional and mental relationship with food.
You don’t have to believe every wellness trend you see. It’s okay to pause, ask questions, and decide what genuinely supports your body, your mind, and your life.
Let’s stop chasing perfection and start pursuing sustainable health rooted in freedom, not fear.

Thank you to everyone who came out for our 1st annual Move with Hope 5K Fun Run/ 1 Mile walk, & Yoga. We appreciate all the support!
🚫 “I need to burn this off.”
Have you ever caught yourself thinking that after eating? That belief is rooted in diet culture, teaching us that movement is only valuable if it cancels out food.
But movement isn’t meant to punish your body or erase what you ate. Movement is a way to support your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
When we shift away from exercising as punishment, we create space for a healthier, more sustainable relationship with movement, one built on care, not compensation.
This week, we’re disrupting the myth that food must be “earned” or “burned off.” Your body deserves nourishment, and movement can be an act of support, not repayment.
