🚨 URGENT WATER CONSERVATION NOTICE – CITY OF McCAYSVILLE 🚨
At this time, we are asking all customers on the City of McCaysville water system to immediately stop using water unless it is an absolute emergency.

Due to the severe flooding, our water treatment plant has been without power for an extended period, resulting in the loss of a significant amount of treated water. Until power is fully restored and the system is stabilized, it is critical that everyone conserve water. We have a major leaks from flooding and cannot contain them at this time.

Please do not use water for any non-essential purpose at this time. Your cooperation is essential in helping us preserve the remaining water supply and restore normal operations as quickly as possible.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and support during this emergency. We will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.

Almost time for the Fair!

The countdown is on for one of the region's favorite traditions!

The 76th Annual Georgia Mountain Fair returns August 14 through 22, bringing two exciting weekends packed with live music, carnival rides, incredible arts and crafts, delicious fair food, and family fun at the historic Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds.

This year's concert lineup features Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone, Hannah Harper, Vince Gill, Joe Nichols, The Randy Travis: More Life Tour, and Crowder, plus a full week of carnival rides, the annual parade, flower and photography shows, Pioneer Village, and so much more.

Whether you're chasing the thrill of the rides, hunting for handmade treasures, singing along at a concert, or just stopping for a funnel cake, the Georgia Mountain Fair is the perfect summer day trip just a short drive from Cherokee County.

The Oaks are coming back to the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds!

Coming back to the Fairgrounds this fall is none other than the legendary, Oak Ridge Boys! 🎉

Theirs has been one of the most distinctive and timeless sounds in the music industry for over 50 years, and now The Oak Ridge Boys are bringing their American Made Farewell Tour across the country for an unforgettable night of entertainment for the entire family. The show will feature many of the group's country hits and two pop smashes, songs that earned them Grammy, Dove, CMA, and ACM awards, as well as garnering a host of other industry and fan accolades.

Allen and James, along with baritone, William Lee Golden, and bass, Richard Sterban, are set to complete the full tour schedule for The Oak Ridge Boys American Made Farewell Tour. The group recently returned to the studio with Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb, their fifth pairing with the legendary Nashville super-producer.

Another reminder not to drive over flooded roads IF you cannot clearly see the pavement. This is from Blue Ridge last night.
Always turn around, don't drown. Also you can ruin your car or get trapped in a sinkhole.
