As a full-time nonprofit professional, I never thought I’d be able to start designing dresses because I believed it would require a huge investment. But last year, this little dream of mine just wouldn’t go away. So I asked myself, “What’s stopping me?” I may not have had a large budget, but I could start small. One design at a time. Small batches. One step at a time.

A little over a year later, I’ve created more than 15 original designs that have been ordered by women across the USA, as well as Canada and the UK. I’m so proud that I chose to start instead of waiting for the “perfect” time. And I’m incredibly grateful to my family for believing in me and supporting this dream every step of the way.

If you’ve been waiting to start something because you think you need everything figured out first, let this be your reminder: sometimes starting small is exactly how big dreams begin.
