Excellence doesn't happen by chance.

It takes teamwork, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to patients, which is something the Vituity providers at our Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center deliver.

Last week, the team was recognized for its outstanding work, being awarded the Championship Team Award at the national convention.

This team’s dedication to outstanding patient care in our Emergency Departments inspires us all to lead and serve with purpose and compassion.

Join us in congratulating them below!

Some people answer every call with humility, courage, and heart. ❤️

Congratulations to Blythe, recipient of the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center Sister's Legacy Award.

In the Intensive Care Unit, Blythe brings a rare combination of clinical excellence, compassion, and reverence, offering comfort, dignity, and presence during life's most fragile moments.

Her commitment extends far beyond the ICU. Whether floating to other departments, picking up extra shifts, or serving as a Rapid Response Nurse, she consistently steps forward to ensure patients receive the care they need.

To her peers, Blythe is more than a colleague. She is a mentor, teacher, and wellspring of knowledge who uplifts those fortunate enough to work alongside her.

Blythe embodies the legacy of the founding Sisters through her unwavering dedication to serving others with excellence and love. We are grateful for the impact she makes every day and proud to celebrate this well-deserved recognition.

Every great team has someone who makes everyone around them better. ❤️

For Saint Alphonsus Medical Group Star, that person is Amanda Hilkey.

Amanda, known as "Mandy" by those close to her, brings kindness, teamwork, and positivity to every interaction. She is quick to lend a hand, share her expertise, and support her colleagues, helping create an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered.

When challenges arise, she leads with compassion and a solution-driven mindset that inspires those around her.

Amanda's commitment to serving others and lifting up her team make her a well-deserving recipient of the Saint Alphonsus Medical Group's Sisters' Legacy Award, which recognizes colleagues who embody the compassion, servant leadership, and Mission-driven spirit of the pioneering Sisters of the Holy Cross.

We are grateful for the difference Amanda makes each day and proud to celebrate her well-deserved recognition.

Some people leave a lasting impact wherever they go, and Liz is one of them. ❤️

Liz is a supervisor with STAR Physical Therapy who is a passionate advocate for providing the highest quality care to every patient.

But her impact extends far beyond the clinic walls. Whether she's volunteering her time in the foothills helping amputees regain confidence and learn to trail run again, offering extra support to patients when they need it most, or inspiring her colleagues to continually raise the bar, Liz leads with compassion, excellence, and heart.

Yesterday, Liz was honored with the Sisters' Legacy Award for Saint Alphonsus Health System, Boise, recognizing a colleague who exemplifies the compassion, servant leadership, Mission, and Core Values of the pioneering Sisters of the Holy Cross.

Please join us in celebrating this well-deserved recognition and congratulating Liz in the comments below! 👏

Back-to-school season means more than sharpened pencils and new backpacks. It can also bring colds, stomach bugs, sports injuries, and questions about your child's health and development.

Dr. Preston Omer with Saint Alphonsus Pediatrics 12th Avenue Clinic in Nampa recently joined KTVB to share guidance on when to call your pediatrician, when urgent care is appropriate, and when emergency care is needed.

His advice: Don't wait until your child is sick to establish care with a pediatrician.

Watch the story on how to help your family stay healthy this school year.
