Hey! I don’t actually think I’ve ever introduced myself on my business page. So here it goes!
I’m Niki, I created The Happy Hour Homemaker TEN YEARS ago! I started sign making and then sign parties and evolved to other crafts. I’m married to an amazing man Brian, who travels for work and I sometimes tag along. I love to read (I just finished book 73 of the year). I’m in five book clubs. It’s a problem. I buy way too many craft projects and never complete them. . I was diagnosed with MS this year. That’s been a challenge but it’s getting better. I’ve built a cute little space after leaving my old space (that’s a story for another day) for people to come craft in, or rent out. I love my studio and it’s become my happy place. I have an unhealthy obsession with Noah Kahan’s music and saw him in Seattle in August. I have two boys that I won’t share their faces on social media, one is a competitive gymnast so January-April is packed with traveling. I have three dogs, so I’m constantly covered in dog hair. I have two lasers, I cut and assemble all your signs on my own. I sometimes overshare, (which I am doing now). I’m in the Dead Dads club (worst club ever), but love to talk about him. I’m in peri-menopause (my over forties ladies, what the heck is this nonsense😂).
I love creating with you all and I’m so glad you’re here!

Lately I’ve been having imposter syndrome. Thinking should I continue this business, will people want to come create with me. So I asked for volunteers to help with some fall crafts and my people showed up. It was so fun and reminded me, I love what I do. I can do this. I love parties, the laughs, the inappropriate jokes. I love it. I miss it. So I’m bringing more classes. All these included. I will share the final projects when I post the classes. But they all turned out amazing!
This is preview for what’s coming soon! Thanks friends for the fun crafternoon!!

This is a fun project to do with your dogs or cats if they don’t have anxiety like our oldest dog does.
Get a canvas from any craft store, dry wall repair kid from any hardware store.
Scrape the dry wall repair kit onto your canvas.
Cover in Saran Wrap to keep those paws clean!
Have your pets walk all over it!
When it’s white, it’s dry! Ours didn’t turn out the way I would have liked wanted, thanks Lulu 🙄 but it was still fun and now I’ll forever have their paw prints.
Tag me if you make one! It’s not a class I can offer in my studio. But wanted to share the project!

Two years ago, I walked away.
For two years, I’ve stayed mostly silent about what that chapter of my life was really like. I thought staying quiet was the mature thing to do. That moving on meant I didn’t need to talk about what happened.
But moving forward doesn’t mean pretending it didn’t hurt.
I left that chapter questioning my confidence, my worth, and whether I could do this on my own.
The last two years haven’t been a perfect comeback. I’ve struggled. I’ve doubted myself. I’ve had seasons I never saw coming.
But I kept going.
I started creating again. I built something that feels like me. And slowly, I started finding myself again.
I’m not sharing this to attack anyone or reopen old wounds. I’m sharing it because it’s my story too.
Two years ago, I thought I was walking away from everything I had worked for.
Turns out, I was walking toward myself. 🧡

This weekend I have open craft on Saturday from 1-4. Should I bring in a few of these to be painted? They would be quick and easy!
Also my husband surprised me with Noah Kahan tickets for his last North American show on the last day of August. So I am counting down it’s 27 days now :)
