Girl dad. Proud husband to a public school teacher. Rescue dog owner. Community advocate. Marine Corps veteran (Europe, Africa, Middle East).
Still serving my country—just in different ways. "As soon as public service ceases to be the chief business of citizens, and they would rather serve with their money than with their persons, the State is not far for its fall."

The Constitution turns 239 today.
It’s 4,543 words — shorter than most magazine articles — and it’s the oldest written national constitution still in effect anywhere on earth. Twenty-seven amendments. Countless arguments. Still standing.
What’s remarkable isn't that it was written. It’s that generation after generation of Americans have chosen to keep the promise it makes: that we govern ourselves, that power has limits, and that disagreements get settled by persuasion instead of force.
That work never finishes. It just gets handed to the next group of people willing to do it.
Happy Constitution Day from all of us at CVA. 🇺🇸

September is Su***de Prevention Month.
For many veterans and service members, the battle doesn’t end when the uniform comes off.
We must continue to break the silence, reduce stigma, and show up for those who’ve served. 💙
Your voice, your story, and your life matter.
