Take a photograph that looks like it could be a scene from a movieโor one that reminds you of a movie. We canโt wait to see what stories you create! ๐ฅ๐ธ

๐ฌ Happy September!! ๐ฌ
September Theme: Cinematic
Take a photograph that looks like it could be a scene from a movieโor one that reminds you of a movie.
Think about the images that stay with you long after the credits roll. A lonely road at dusk. A mysterious doorway. Two people having a quiet conversation. A dramatic landscape. An ordinary moment that suddenly feels like it belongs on the big screen.
Your interpretation is completely up to you. Create an image with a cinematic feel through lighting, composition, color, perspective, setting, or storytellingโor capture something that immediately makes you think of a favorite film.
All photography styles are welcome, whether you shoot film or digital. You can recreate a movie moment, create your own imaginary scene, or photograph something that feels like it belongs in a movie.
Creative Focus: Storytelling & Mood
Think about how movies use lighting, composition, color, framing, and atmosphere to tell a story without words. What story does your photograph tell? What happened just before the moment you capturedโand what might happen next?
๐๏ธ Bonus Challenge: Set the Scene
Create a photograph inspired by a movie scene. Use lighting, composition, color, or perspective to give your image a cinematic feel.
(Complete the bonus challenge to earn points toward the 2026 Bonus Point Champion!)

Photography Myth Monday ๐ธ
โPrime lenses always take better photos than zoom lenses.โ โ
Not necessarily!
Prime lenses can be fantastic, but a great zoom lens can deliver excellent image quality while giving you the flexibility to change your composition without changing lenses.
The โbestโ lens really depends on what youโre photographing, how you like to shoot, and what you need from your gear.
Sometimes versatility wins. ๐ธ
