We find permanent, loving homes for pets!

10/06/2026

Mina is available for adoption. This incredibly resilient girl had a very rough start in life when we took her in at 5 months old, but is thriving now and ready for a furever family. Read up on Mina below and submit an application if wanting to give her a home.

https://form.jotform.com/FFRAdopt/cat-adoption-application

Mina takes the title for cutest and best kitty girl in Michigan! This sweet baby loves to cuddle up with her favorite human and will melt your heart with her just slightly crossed eyes. It's impossible to not fall for her charm!

Mina is FIV positive, but that doesn't slow her down! When she first arrived, Mina was so weak and underweight that she couldn't even walk or climb. She had a wound that had abscessed causing a very high fever that resulted in an emergency hospital visit. With love and devoted care, her foster family were able to get her health back on track, and now she's making up for lost time by romping around and scaling the big cat towers in the house!

Mina would make a great addition to any family as either an only cat or with another cat her age range (she's 10 months young). Don't worry, FIV is not contagious to other cats, only through deep bite wounds. She is in a home with other cats. She has never been around dogs, so a meet and greet will be needed. Her favorite human in the home is her foster dad, so she may have a preference to be adopted by another dad she can adore.

We had 3 kittens adopted this weekend and have a few pending applications from the event this weekend.

First is the fearless bundle of energy Puffin who will have a young buddy is the home for a playmate. Not surprised, he settled in quickly and ready to take over his new digs.

Second is the gorgeous long haired beauty Carol, the first of The Brady Bunch. She had a meet-n-greet with the family dogs and it went well. She will also be joining a young feline in the home.

Lastly, long timer Figgy who we've had for 5 months since he was just 4 weeks old. Figgy joined his family tonight and will be joining a Furry Friends Rescue alumni kitty.

Happy Tails to all 3 awesome kitties.

Thank you Petco for allowing us to invade your space for our biggest event ever. Thank you fosters/volunteers for helping before, during and after the event.

We are back at Petco in Brighton today with a lot of kittens available for adoption from 11 am to 4 pm.

We did receive a couple of applications yesterday at the event that are under review. We'd certainly like to see more. With 25 kittens plus others not at the event and others that will be available soon we'd love to see more applicants.

Today will be the last day for Chassis at the store. As many are aware she has been in a store for 8 weeks. Way too long for such an outgoing adorable young gal. She needs to be the only pet in the home. We've adopted quite a few only cats this year so why not Chassis? She'll go back to the foster home. She's too young to be cooped up so long and will be 6 months old on the 10th. Paws crossed an amazing applicant comes along today. Going to a foster home will give no ability to be seen or known about.

We have many gray kitties, mostly due to 19 of the kittens are from the same property as a result of a TNR project where more than 50 cats have been TNRed (spayed/neutered). Don't think these gray kitties can cause the blues. Quite the opposite. They will brighten your day.

To mix it up a bit we have gorgeous dilute tortis, cute little tigers and a couple of mostly white and a black kitty.

Most of our kittens do require to be adopted with a litter mate or to a home with a very young and playful cat.

To check them out more please see our kitties on petfunder.

The Brady Bunch will be at the adoption event Saturday and Sunday at Petco in Brighton (see flyer for details in last picture). This crew of 8 are part of the 19 kittens from the same location.

They will require being adoptded with a litter mate (preferred) or to a home with another young playful kitten/very young adult. Typical kittens, they love to.play, wrestle and chase. Once they unwind they are affectionate and snuggly.

GREG: The natural leader. He's confident, adventurous, and always the first to investigate a new toy.

MARCIA: Beautiful and she knows it! Marcia loves to pose for photos and is a total sweetheart.

JAN: A little quieter than her sisters, but she has the most intense, loving purr when you pick her up. (No "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia" syndrome here—she shines all on her own!)

CINDY: The baby of the bunch with big, curious eyes. She loves following her humans around like a little shadow.

PETER: The goofy clown of the family. He will keep you laughing for hours with his silly antics and playful pounces. He will be neutered October 9th. He does have a heart murmur and we are awaiting final notes on his condition but he is adoptable and more will be shared later.

BOBBY: A total cuddle bug. When he's done playing, he wants nothing more than to curl up right in your lap.

ALICE: The busy one. She always wants to be involved with what is going on with the group. Her antics and playful energy will keep you laughing.

CAROL: The most affectionate of the playgroup. She wants all of your attention and will get jealous if she doesn’t receive it. Adoption pending a meet-n-greet with dogs

Dogs are unknown and will require a meet-n-greet. No children under 6.

All of the kittens are spayed/neutered (with Peter scheduled), microchipped, FIV/FELV tested, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations.

If interested in any of these beautiful kittens, please submit an application by clicking on the link below.

🐦🚨 PLEASE ADOPT ME NOW. SERIOUSLY. I’M READY. 🚨🐦

Hi. It’s me, Chickadee.
Yes, THIS IS MY OFFICIAL “PLEASE PICK ME” POST. 😂

I started out as a tiny shelter bottle baby, which was adorable and all… but honestly, I’m ready to retire from the rescue life and move into my permanent position as Your Spoiled Little Baby. ❤️
I have waited patiently.
Okay… mostly patiently.
But I’ve decided I have done enough waiting.
I would like a family.
I would like a forever home.
I would like someone who looks at my tiny face and says, “Yep. That one. I’m taking her home.”
I promise to repay you with kitten antics, ridiculous cuteness, purrs, and just enough chaos to keep life interesting.
So if you’ve been scrolling through adoption posts thinking, “I need a kitten…”

HI. 👋 IT’S ME. YOUR KITTEN.

Please adopt me now.
Like… seriously.
I’m running out of patience and I have already packed my tiny suitcase. 🥹😂🐾

🐾 WHY IS CHASSIS STILL WAITING? 🐾

Chassis will have been at Petco in Brighton for 8 weeks this coming weekend — and in all that time, only ONE person has shown interest. Unfortunately, they had dogs.

Seriously… how does a young, super cute, outgoing and friendly kitten get overlooked for this long?

Yes, Chassis needs to be an only pet. We understand that may narrow the pool, but we've had several adult cats this year who needed to be the only pet in the home, and they found their families quickly. The longest wait was 5 weeks.

So why not Chassis?

She'll be 6 months old soon — a teenager! We've had this girl since she was just 10 days old. It makes absolutely no sense that she's still waiting.

We get so many people asking for a single kitten with no other pets, and we almost always have to say no because most kittens really do benefit from having a buddy.

Then we finally have one who truly needs to be the only pet… and nobody comes along. 💔

Chassis is still at Petco in Brighton.

She often sits right in front of the glass so people will notice her. She'll stick her nose or paws through the little holes to get attention. She's absolutely a hoot! 😂

She loves her toys and is perfectly capable of entertaining herself, but she also loved spending time with her humans when she was in foster care.

This weekend we have an adoption event at Petco in Brighton. If Chassis doesn't find her person, she'll be going back to her foster home.

And honestly? It isn't fair to keep her cooped up like this for so long.

This girl needs to play, run, explore and be the young cat she is.

We know what happens when cats go back to foster care. People say, "They're safe," and yes — they are safe. ❤️

But safe isn't the same as home.

All of our cats and kittens are safe. We still want every one of them to find their forever family.

Her last 3 posts reached more than 23,000 views and had nearly 150 shares. She's been shared to multiple community sites and Nextdoor.

So we're asking again:

What does it take to get this young girl a home?

🏡 No cats. No dogs, please.

Please do NOT give us a hard time about this requirement. We aren't being difficult or trying to make adoption harder. We want success for our fosters, and we know Chassis does best as the only pet.

When we say "only pet," it's pretty simple: she doesn't like living with other pets.

Comments questioning this requirement will be deleted. Let's keep the focus where it belongs — finding Chassis her perfect home. ❤️

And look at everything this girl has going for her:

🐾 She's young, with many years of companionship ahead of her.
🐾 She still has that adorable baby face.
🐾 She's friendly, playful and fun.
🐾 She will make you smile and laugh.
🐾 She's ready for her forever home.
🐾 And she is VERY ready to get out of that store and start living her life.

Chassis is waiting for her person. Could that be you?

If you can provide the purrfect home for this sweet, silly, fun girl, please fill out an adoption application:

Please share this post. Maybe her person hasn't seen her yet. ❤️🐾

Five month old Velma was the last of 5 in the Scooby Doo litter. She was overlooked while her colorful siblings were adopted quickly. This nice family wanted a young cat that got along with a dog and Velma loved the dogs in the foster home. Tonight we had a meet-n-greet with the family and dog and all went well.

Velma joined her family tonight and will have a new dog buddy. Happy Tails sweet girl!!!

Junior Mint (black & white) and Snickers (orange and white male) will be at the adoption event Saturday and Sunday at Petco in Brighton (see flyer for details). These 2 handsome boys with great markings will need to be adopted together. Please read up on them below and if interested in this dapper duo, please submit an application by clicking on the link below.

APPLICATION LINK:
https://form.jotform.com/FFRAdopt/cat-adoption-application

JUNIOR MINT - longer haired:
Loves chasing laser lights, receiving a lot of pets, and snuggling at night with his foster parents. He gently licks toes and hands (especially when given treats) to show his affection.

SNICKERS:
He is the shyer of the 2 whose confidence continues to build as he has navigated the foster home with curiosity, loves to play, and gently greets his foster's cats with a nose boop and gives high fives for treats.

Curious and good with other cats, they still are a little shy around people at first. A quiet low-activity home is best so no young children. They've never been around dogs so a meet-and-greet will be required.

Both are neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and FIV/FELV tested negative.

We cannot guarantee same day adoption without an approved application in advance of the event. We will also be accepting applications the day of the event.
