There will be "Goonies" on the Whitmore Lake waterfront tonight! My suggestion, swing by the Whitmore Lake Tavern for a casual Friday night dinner & cocktail, then walk across the street w/ your lawn chair and blanket for a free outdoor movie! Looks like rain in the forecast for all day Saturday & Sunday, so this may be your only chance for a fun, family centric outdoor weekend event!

Last week's outdoor movie night in Dearborn was attended by over 1,000 people according to the city. STR performs all "Movies in the Park" performances for Dearborn as well as Camp Dearborn in Milford. The next Dearborn City event is scheduled for August 27.

Join us at Town Center Park on July 25 for a free showing of Disney and Pixar’s Elio! Food trucks will begin serving around 8:00 PM, and the movie starts at 9:00 PM.

This Friday, July 10th - Movies Under the Stars at the Northfield Community Park. This week's movie - Back to the Future!

A wise musician once said. "don't be sad, because 2 out of 3 aint bad". So it went this past week as the brisk & wet weather forced one reschedule on a back-2-back-2-back movie night event schedule. Although a little windy & chilly in the evening, it turned out to be a pleasant movie night under the stars in Milford & Whitmore Lake. The STR-14 screen was featured and a great program for crowd sizes in the 100 people or less range. A great bargain too for around $500. Summer solstice is here and hopefully better weather is in the forecast!

Spring is here and the weather is attempting to make good on the promise for warmer temps in the coming weeks. Good thing too as booking’s for 2026 outdoor movie nights are out pacing last years event totals. Not saying that 2025 wasn't up to par, but there's definitely something in the air inspiring many former customers to return to STR and book movie nights again this summer. Still, 2025 was a fun year and here's a fun video montage starting with corporate Karaoke and ending with a late Fall outdoor school movie night on the football grid iron. Looking forward to our 19th season in 2026. If you're inteersted in booking a weekend event, best do it soon!
