𓂀 ALL HAIL PHARAOH! 👑🐾

Our newest tiny ruler has entered the kingdom of Cactus Ranch Rescue, and we are already obsessed with him.

Meet Pharaoh — a little Chihuahua mix who somehow came out looking like a pocket-sized Pharaoh Hound. 😂 Those ears, that face, that stance… sir clearly believes he was sent directly from ancient Egypt to rule over all of us.

Unfortunately, Pharaoh’s story didn’t start very royally. He came to us from Dallas after being found dumped in a parking lot. He also appears to have both vision and hearing impairments, is extremely itchy, and we suspect he may have an eye infection.

Tomorrow morning, His Majesty has a 9 AM appointment at Hwy 30 Veterinary Clinic alongside Doodle Bug, who is going in for her urinalysis. Don’t worry — the royal court is keeping them completely separate until we know what’s going on with this King. 😂

Pharaoh will be getting a full exam, skin scrape, rabies vaccine, evaluation of his eyes and any medications he needs. He also still needs to be neutered. We believe he is around 9–10 months old, but hopefully tomorrow’s exam will give us a better idea.

Between Pharaoh’s royal medical workup and Doodle Bug’s continued care, tomorrow is going to be another expensive vet day for CRR.

😍 STORY & WONDER ARE REALLY STARTING TO SHOW OFF… and LORD are these boys handsome!

Their personalities are coming out more every day, and they are such fun, playful, loving little guys. They are absolutely thriving in foster and soaking up every bit of country life they can get.

These two LOVE to run, wrestle, explore, dig holes like they’ve been hired for excavation work 😂 and, of course, SWIM. If there’s water nearby, they are ready to make it everybody’s problem.

They’re playful and adventurous, but they’re also sweet babies who love attention and being part of the action. Watching them gain confidence, learn new things, and just get to be happy puppies has been the best.

Story and Wonder are both currently pre-adoptable and would LOVE to have their forever families lined up!

🎲 REINTRODUCING DICE MAN 🎲

Because BOY has this guy made some progress in foster. 😭💛

When Dice first came to us, he needed time. He was shy, unsure, and very much the kind of dog who had to learn that he was safe before he could show us who he really was. His foster gave him that time, routine, patience, and space to decompress — and now we are seeing a completely different dog.

And y’all… his personality is PHENOMENAL.

Dice is around 3 years old and is a Corgi with the cutest little low-rider build. He is great on leash, does wonderfully in his kennel, is good with other animals, and has been working hard on his training and household routine. He loves getting outside to explore and sniff around, but once he’s gotten his adventures in, he is perfectly happy curling up and relaxing.

He really thrives with consistency. Dice likes knowing what comes next, having his routine, and being around people who let him settle in at his own pace. Once he trusts you, that sweet, goofy, affectionate little personality starts pouring out.

Health-wise, Dice came into rescue heartworm positive. He is receiving the veterinary care he needs through Cactus Ranch Rescue, and we will make sure his adopters have all of his medical information and understand his treatment plan. WE COVER HIS TREATMENT! Heartworm disease is treatable, and it certainly has not stopped Dice from enjoying life or making incredible progress in foster.

This boy didn’t walk into rescue ready to charm the room on day one. He needed someone to give him a chance to breathe first.

And that is exactly why foster homes matter.

Now? He’s a doll. We love him. His foster loves him. And we really think once the right family meets him, they’re going to wonder how nobody scooped him up sooner.

And yes… that means Doodle Bug may be rolling into the fashion show in her wheelchair like the absolute ICON she is. 😂💅

Both events are a great opportunity to meet adoptable animals, talk with our team about fostering or adopting, and help our rescue babies get some much-needed exposure.

🚨 TINY 6-LB FLUFF BUCKET IS OFFICIALLY PRE-ADOPTABLE! 🚨

Our itty-bitty former street boy is ready to start looking for his forever family. 🥹💜

Fluff still has a little vetting left to finish — including getting those huevos ✂️ OFF very soon 😂 — but we would LOVE for him to have a family lined up and waiting for him when he’s officially ready to go home.

If you remember Fluff’s story, he came to us after surviving on the streets absolutely COVERED in ticks. This tiny little dog had been fending for himself, scavenging for food, and somehow surviving outside at only around SIX POUNDS. When we first got him, he was exhausted, uncomfortable, and so covered in parasites that we honestly didn’t know what kind of personality was hiding underneath all that fluff.

Turns out… the sweetest baby imaginable was under there. 😭

His foster mom says:

“Fluff is literally the sweetest, most loving, most trusting dog I’ve ever seen. He gets along with everyone, loves attention and a warm body to snuggle. Give him food, water, and a place to sleep — preferably VERY close to you — and he is in Heaven!”

He wants to be WITH his person. On your lap. Next to you. Under a blanket. Probably touching you at all times. 😂

The only time this tiny man really voices his disagreement is when you have the AUDACITY to leave him. He isn’t a fan of being kenneled or left outside because, after surviving alone for who knows how long, Fluff has apparently decided he will never be abandoned to fend for himself again.

And honestly? We don’t blame him.

He gets along wonderfully with others, is incredibly affectionate, and despite everything he has been through, he still trusts people completely. There is not a mean bone in this tiny fluffy body.

It is almost impossible to believe this sweet, trusting little baby was once living on the streets fighting for every meal.

Fluff Bucket is approximately 18 months old, around 6 lbs, and fostered through Cactus Ranch Rescue in Bryan, Texas. Nationwide adoptions are available. ✈️🐾

His perfect family will understand that he is a certified VELCRO DOG™️ and will happily accept their new position as Fluff’s personal heated mattress. 😂💜
