Our client couldn't hold back her tears. Her journey has been quite difficult but, we believe her next chapter will be so much brighter. 🌟

She is a beautiful soul that loves reading and peaceful environments. She didn't even want a TV.

It was such a pleasure to restore her hope and sense of independence.

Little Twix was separated from her caregiver for over a year. After leaving a domestic violence shelter, our client and Twix were finally reunited — a moment filled with relief, love, and healing.

Their time apart was incredibly difficult for our client, as Twix had always provided deep emotional support and comfort. Now, a new chapter begins for them both, and we are truly grateful to play a role in their journey forward.

After participating in our Team Building Program and our 5th Annual UPlift Design Challenge, has seen first-hand how many families in our community are living without basic essentials like proper window treatments for privacy.

We are deeply grateful to have been awarded a $10,000 micro‑grant from Broadview FCU, which will help us purchase new window treatments, bath towels, and refrigerators for families who need them most.

What matters most to any parent is ensuring their children feel deeply loved and have the essentials that help them thrive — a warm, comfortable bed and bedroom spaces that are safe, inspiring, and perfect for letting imaginations soar.

We’re so excited to transform these spaces for five beautiful children and a wonderful mother who is doing everything she can to give her family the life they deserve. And of course, we’ll be taking great care of mom, too. 🥰

As we prepare to serve our next client family, we are reaching out to our UDFL community of supporters! For a playroom for small children, we are in need of:

- two small bookshelves
- a table and chairs for arts and crafts
- two small bean bag chairs or something similar

We'll work with any colors! If you should come across any of these items and would like to donate them, please email us at [email protected] to schedule a donation drop-off appointment.
