When a driver says “no” to a new tool, don’t assume it’s an attitude problem.
Resistance can come from three very different places: Willingness, Readiness, or Ability. And each one requires a different response.
Before you issue a warning or roll out another policy, diagnose what’s actually getting in the way.
Pick one case of resistance on your team this week and run the W-R-A check. If you want help sorting out what’s really behind it, message me.

AI can do its job perfectly and still create confusion if the communication sequence is wrong. In trucking, the real challenge is deciding who needs to know what — and when.
This week’s YBOR Logistics AI newsletter looks at why automation isn’t the same as coordination.

When every important decision still has to go through the owner, growth eventually slows down.
In this week’s newsletter, we look at the “hero-owner” pattern—and why scaling a fleet means building systems and people that can make good decisions without you in the room.

Are you judging every new idea by what it delivers in the next 30 days?
That mindset can quietly kill the very improvements that make a fleet stronger over time.
AI dispatch, predictive maintenance, driver retention, and process improvements rarely prove their full value in a single month. They compound.
In this week’s newsletter, I look at the difference between playing the 30-day game and building a fleet that can keep improving year after year.
The question is not only: “Did this pay for itself this month?”
It is also: “Is this making the operation stronger for the long run?”
Read the latest issue and rethink the scoreboard you use to measure AI and operational change.

Your new AI tool may be working perfectly—and your team may still be quietly working around it.

Why? Because adoption depends on more than training. It depends on whether drivers and dispatchers feel safe enough to question the system when something looks wrong.

My latest newsletter explores psychological safety and why it should come before real AI adoption in trucking.

Artificial intelligence is becoming the next major operating tool in transportation—but successful adoption starts with people, not software.

Fleet owners and managers can ease employee concerns by explaining that AI is a co-pilot, not the decision-maker. It can help organize information, prepare customer updates, identify delays, reduce repetitive work, and improve visibility. Human judgment, accountability, and leadership must remain in control.

The best way to begin is with one low-risk pilot project, clear rules, protected data, human review, and measurable results.

Waiting until competitors are already faster and more efficient will make the transition harder.

Humans lead. AI accelerates. Read this week’s newsletter to learn how to build an AI-ready culture with practical guardrails.

American freight has come a long way—from horse-drawn wagons and rough roads to interstate highways, GPS, telematics, and AI-powered fleets.

Every major advancement helped trucking become faster, safer, and more connected. Today, artificial intelligence and automation are opening the door to better visibility, less manual work, stronger communication, and faster decision-making.

The technology keeps changing, but the mission remains the same: move goods safely, efficiently, and reliably.

YBOR Logistics AI helps transportation companies prepare for what comes next.

☀️ **Summer heat can be tough on your truck—but a few minutes of inspection can make all the difference.**

High temperatures place extra stress on tires, cooling systems, hoses, brakes, and batteries. A small issue can quickly become a costly roadside breakdown.

The FMCSA requires drivers to complete vehicle inspections and report any defects under **49 CFR § 396.11 (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report)** and **49 CFR § 396.13 (Driver Inspection)**.

Before every trip, take the time to inspect:
✅ Tires
✅ Coolant and hoses
✅ Brakes
✅ Lights
✅ Fluid levels
✅ Leaks

A proper DVIR isn't just about compliance—it's about protecting lives, reducing downtime, and keeping your fleet moving safely.

This summer, make every inspection count.

Summer operations bring more than heat. They bring higher risk, heavier pressure on equipment, and costly mistakes when fleets do not have clear visibility.

This week’s newsletter focuses on safety, weight management, technology, AI, and ROI for trucking companies.

We explain how fleets can use better data, digital tools, and AI-supported workflows to identify overweight risks, improve dispatch decisions, reduce delays, and protect profitability.

Weight management is not just a compliance issue. It affects fuel, tires, maintenance, driver safety, delivery performance, and customer service.

At YBOR Logistics AI, we help logistics teams reduce confusion, improve visibility, and make smarter operational decisions.

Read the latest newsletter and see how summer safety can become a stronger ROI strategy.

Summer heat can create serious safety and maintenance challenges for trucking and logistics operations.
It is not just about staying comfortable. Heat can affect tires, engines, batteries, A/C systems, drivers, roadside safety, and delivery reliability.
Before the truck moves, fleet teams should make sure drivers are checking tire pressure, coolant levels, belts, hoses, A/C function, and emergency supplies. Dispatch teams should also stay alert to driver heat exposure, facility delays, and equipment warning signs.
A small issue in extreme heat can quickly become downtime, a missed delivery, or a roadside safety event.
At YBOR Logistics AI, we help logistics teams build better systems, reduce confusion, and improve operational visibility.
Stay safe, stay prepared, and keep your fleet moving.
