Yesterday with my day ones was truly special. Hearing all the beautiful stories, and especially my dear sister sharing the story of her babies, touched so many hearts, including mine. There is so much strength in sharing, remembering, healing, and honoring the lives that will forever matter.

I’m truly grateful to have been a part of such a meaningful day and to witness the love and support this foundation gives to families. Thank you for allowing me to share in this space. I’ll carry these stories and this moment with me. Love you always, sis. ❤️ 🐴Halls

Right now, I’m just sitting in so much gratitude and love. 🥹❤️

To everyone who came out and SHOWED OUT for me… I HEARD Y’ALL! 😂🙌🏽 Every cheer, every CHEEHOO, every message, call, prayer, post and all the love… I felt it ALL.

I’m beyond grateful for every single person who has supported, encouraged and celebrated me along this journey.

This moment is for my Mom… and my sister Carol. ❤️🕊️

As I prepare to step onto the court tomorrow to receive the Seattle Storm Believe in Women Award, my heart is full. More than anything, I’m thinking about the two women I wish could be there to witness this moment.

Mom, it has only been six months since I had to say goodbye to you, and some days it still doesn’t feel real. Carol, losing you left a space in my heart that time could never fill.

I miss you both so much.

Tomorrow, I wish I could look into the stands and see your faces. But somehow, I can already hear your voices telling me how proud you are of me. I can almost hear you both saying, “That’s our Ata!” 🥹❤️

And knowing the two of you, you’d probably be making more noise than anyone else in that arena.

Before the awards, recognition, community work, or titles, I was shaped by strong women who taught me through their love, sacrifices, prayers, and example.

I did not get here by myself.

That is why the Believe in Women Award means so much to me. I know firsthand what can happen when women pour strength into one another and remind each other not to give up.

Mom, thank you for the life you gave me and the strength you instilled in me.

Carol, thank you for being my sister and for the memories that will forever be part of who I am.

Tomorrow, when they call Faleata “Ata” Ma’ae, I know I’ll smile and look toward Heaven, knowing two very important pieces of my heart are there. ❤️🕊️

This award may have my name on it, but this moment is bigger than me. It represents the women who came before me, the women who walk beside me, and the women coming after me.

Mom and Carol, this one is for you.

I hope I continue making you proud by using my life and my voice to do for others what so many women have done for me.

Tomorrow, I’ll step onto that court with both of you in my heart.

I am beyond grateful and truly honored to be selected as a 2026 Seattle Storm Believe in Women honoree. To know that I was nominated by my community means more to me than I can put into words. And to be selected by the Seattle Storm players and staff for this recognition makes this moment even more special.

For 20 years, the Storm’s Believe in Women program has recognized women making a difference in the Greater Puget Sound community. This year, four community leaders will be honored for the work we do to help create opportunities for women and girls.

I’m so proud of how far I’ve come, but even more grateful for every woman, family, and community member I’ve had the privilege to stand beside. I empower. I encourage. That’s how we win together.

I’ll be honored during Believe in Women Night on September 17 at Climate Pledge Arena, when the Seattle Storm takes on the Las Vegas Aces.

Thank you to my community for seeing me, believing in me, and nominating me. This one is for ALL OF US. 💛🏀
