Very solid weekend at KAM Kartway ~Go Kart Dirt Racing in North Texas~. Cory and Jayden started the Saturday show with speed all night. I didn’t race Saturday night but I did race Sunday and Cory and Jayden didn’t race Sunday only Saturday. It was nice being a crew chief for an afternoon. I won the pro clone feature on Sunday which now makes 4 races in row and 8 feature races in a row. That 91 machine has been on a rail

Unfortunately this is a good and sad post to make on my end. With everything I have going on in my life right now this will more than likely have been my last race of the year. Between work, a new daughter coming at any given time, passing of family members, and weddings coming up I just can’t see myself making any other races let alone having the time to race for the rest of the year. Obviously my #1 priority as a man is my family. With my wife and I fixing to have another daughter I need to be a dad first and be there for my family. So to all my fans, friends, and family. This isn’t a forever good bye. This is a see yall soon! I hope everyone truly understands the passion I have for this sport but a man has to be a man. Anyways here is team OBR results for this weekend

Cory Washburn pro clone #69-
Heat race: Started 4th- Finished 1st
Feature: Started 1st- Finished 4th
Was leading but spun out leading

BIG BIRD (Donald Grooms)Pro clone #27.17-
First of all. This man has been on a rail lately. Had a half a track lead in both heat and feature and broke both times. Definitely was the kart to beat based off lap times and well he pulled the field a half a track in 6 laps

Jayden Pro clone -
Heat race: Started 2nd- Finished 3rd
Feature: Started 3rd- Finished 2nd
That boy is getting so smooth behind the wheel and consistent. His lap times was a tenth difference between every lap. I’m so proud of that young man and it was nice seeing the 91B up front all weekend

3 races in a row and 7 total feature race wins in a row! Here is how our weekend went. A literal very last minute decision to go run THE BULLRING at BIG O Speedway and I’m very glad I decided to. I called Cory Washburn and Donald Grooms at 4pm and said load up let’s go. Keep in mind none of us had any prep on tires, others didn’t even have the kart cleaned, others still had dirt on the tires from the weekend before lol. But anyways the track was smooth and extremely fast. Jim Moon has done a great job at that place. Here is our results

Owen:

Well well well. Another weekend of being Cory Washburn big daddy. I’m the Ricky Bobby and he’s like Cal Naughton JR. One day I know I’ll eat these words but that day ain’t today so I’ll talk my stuff until then. Anyways Team OBR and Washburn Motorsports had a very up and down day yesterday at Winnsboro Kart Speedway. There’s was quite a few karts there. I think there was 10 or 11 in pro clone alone. I’m not 100% sure on that but I know I’m close in the ball park. Here is our results

Overall very good and very successful time at Winnsboro speedway. I cannot thank them enough to put me on this races cover to draw my attention to come race there. It was a blast and my kind of race track. Nice sandy and slick, I love it.

No racing for me again this weekend. I’ve contacted the bird flu, swine flu, or Ebola. Not quite sure what I’ve got but it ain’t good. Been sick for quite a few days. We will see everyone in a few weeks somewhere.
