Calhoun Utilities

The Water Department will be implementing their flushing program over the weekend along Harris Beamer and side roads, New Zion, Madison Gardens neighborhood, W. Belmont, Cove St, Wall St, Piedmont, King St, and Ooothcalooga St. The flushing program is a preventive measure to improve water quality by removing sediment throughout the distribution system. If any customer notices dirty water, please flush your tap for 15-20 minutes. If this does not improve the clarity, please call our office at 706-629-2758.

Scheduled Water Outage Tuesday September 22nd from 9:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Brown Lee Mountain Rd area.

The area affected will include but not limited to S.R. 53 near Brown Lee Mountain Rd along with Brown Lee Mountain Rd. This outage is due to road construction by the GA Dept of Transportation to improve the intersection of S.R. 53 at Brown Lee Mountain Rd. The purpose of this outage is to tie in the new water main to the existing water main at Brown Lee Mountain Rd.

Detours will be set in place to take you around to Damascus Rd.

Damascus Road will be closed on the Hwy 41 side. Anyone needing access to Damascus Rd will need to enter from North Industrial.
