A special welcome and thank you to our new followers and potential members. Between the Facebook followers, our TikTok page, and website, we've steadily grown. To paint a better picture, it's a "night and day difference" in our operational strength, capabilities, geographical growth, and ability to reach veterans where they are.

Whether you've got it all together and are mission ready no matter the scenario, or a veteran who's struggling to make sense of it all post service, WE HEAR YOU, WE GOT YOU, & WE WELCOME YOU.

We have a busy agenda for the rest of 2026 with local outreach in Northwest GA, as well as Sarasota FL, meetups, and always the possible response to a disaster. Whether it's "boots on the ground" or a support role, we at Task Force Mountain stand ready to serve.

IRAQ INVESTIGATES U.S. FLAG TRAMPLING DURING “SOVEREIGNTY DAY”

Iraq’s government has ordered an investigation after members of the country’s Popular Mobilization Forces were filmed driving military vehicles over large American and Israeli flags during events marking Iraq’s “Sovereignty Day.”

The incident occurred in Baghdad as Iraq celebrated the end of the U.S.-led coalition’s military mission in the country. Video and photographs showed vehicles associated with the PMF, an umbrella organization that includes several powerful Iran-aligned factions, driving directly over the flags during a symbolic procession.

Iraqi Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief Ali Faleh al-Zaidi condemned the incident and ordered an investigative committee to determine exactly what happened and who was responsible. His office said Iraq must adhere to its laws and established diplomatic norms and directed authorities to take appropriate legal action.

The controversy comes at a particularly sensitive moment for Iraq. The U.S.-led coalition formally concluded its military mission on September 30 after operating in Iraq since 2014 in the fight against ISIS.

Iraq designated October 1 as “Sovereignty Day” to mark the transition.

The images, however, highlight a larger challenge facing Baghdad: maintaining control over armed factions with close ties to Iran while attempting to build a new relationship with Washington following the American military withdrawal.

For Iraq, sovereignty may be easier to declare than it is to enforce.
