It is wonderfully imperfect in the way handcrafted jewelry should be. You can almost imagine the hands, tools and hours behind each little section. The dual tones, the random placement of one single paisely, tiny pearls along the trims of some motifs and then there is that deep red bead at the very end—a small, unexpected burst of color that brings the whole piece together.

I wouldn’t overthink the outfit. Ivory, cream or ecru are probably my favorite. A simple silk sari or handloom saree in a deep bottle green shade, or a deep burgundy to bring out the accents beautifully. Mustard or ochre would make stunning backdrops for a more earthy look, especially in raw silk. And then there is Black. The oxidized silver suddenly feels very modern and dramatic.
