It’s a three wedding weekend for Java Rose Photography and I couldn’t be more excited. First up is Fiza and Karim, followed by Charlotte and Derek, and Alexis and Grant to finish off the weekend. So much love to celebrate—congratulations to all three couples tying the knot.

I couldn’t be prouder of my longtime friend Kaitlyn for creating such a beautiful space for brides! If you’re wedding dress shopping, do yourself a favor and visit her store—you’ll thank me later!

It’s always bittersweet when summer ends. We have been in Turkey most of our summer this year to visit family. We went to Istanbul, Ankara, and Antalya. I recommend Antalya for their amazing beaches and resorts.

And tomorrow, it will be Yasamine and Mustafa’s wedding in Istanbul! Beyond excited to celebrate their day! I’ll try to post stories if you’d like to follow along :)

I tend to only post my work images here but if you’ve been missing my posts and wondering why I haven’t posted anything on my wall since July. Here’s why…

Around 4.5 months ago, my mom, Chandry, suddenly passed away from brain aneurysm. I was in Bali photographing a bridal shoot at the time when I got the call from my dad that she went unconscious and later became brain dead. It was very unexpected, as she was the a very healthy and energetic lady. I bought the earliest plane ticket back to Indiana (where she lived) and am grateful that I had the chance to hug her one last time before they pulled the plug an hour later (may she be granted the highest of heavens).

She was my best friend and the best mom I could ever ask for. She was a huge inspiration for me. I am still grieving and missing her every day, but am doing much better.

Now that I am healing better, I hope to post more often. Thank you for reading this post.

Positano is definitely a dream place to visit! Our Europe trip has been an amazing one, and is one for the books.

If you saw my stories of how I edited with the new Photoshop feature, these are the final results. Definitely a learning curve (and a hilarious one) but I’m amazed of its capability and will definitely use it to finesse my images.

It’s Asiyah and Mohammed’s wedding day today! I have been so honored to. E documenting most of their whole extended family’s wedding, I’m sure it will feel like a big family reunion :)

That’s not all what’s happening today! I will also be leaving to Europe tonight for a couple of weddings and styled shoots. I’ll try to post stories so you can tag along with me :)
