Fine Metal Jewelry and Art

Biggest news in a while for T. Hawk! 📰

After a lot of thought, I've decided to close my downtown T.Hawk Studio location. My last day in the shop will be July 18.

Before anyone panics: T.Hawk Studio isn't closing, it's just coming home.

Over the last 5 years, this little business has grown beyond anything I could have imagined. I've created nearly 700 individual pieces of wearable art in this space, and they've found homes all around the world. 🤯✨

I'm incredibly grateful for every person who stopped by, shared a story, trusted me with a custom piece, or became a friend along the way.

But somewhere between creating jewelry, running a storefront, answering emails, managing inventory, and trying to be a functioning human, I realized I was spending less time doing the thing I love most: making.

So I'm bringing the studio home.

This next chapter is about slowing down, creating more intentionally, chasing beautiful stones and weird treasures, and focusing my energy where it belongs—at the bench.

I'll still be creating the Western Art Deco inspired work you know and love, taking select custom projects, hosting open houses, and sharing new collections. My loyalty program isn't going anywhere either. 🎉

If you've been meaning to stop by the shop, now's the time! Most of these pieces have found their permanent homes, but there are still plenty of one-of-a-kind pieces looking for their place to land, I also have display fixtures, furniture, and other studio treasures that need to find their next chapter too.

And don't forget to sign up for my mailing list on thawkstudio.com!

Thank you for supporting this dream, trusting me with your vulnerable stories, becoming my friends and making the last five years more meaningful than I ever could have imagined. One door is closing, but I'm really excited about what's next.

More treasures will be made and stories told, just in a different home.

I'll be going live in the next few days with more info, so stay tuned!

No duplicates here, because simply producing isn't the goal.

I'm choosing the photos that I think are cool.
I'm showing pieces that are special in my opinion.
I'm picking music I like, because I like it. Not because I think my audience will like it.
I'm done spending hours of my time wondering what I should say to make some sort of caption that grabs people.
I just don't really care anymore. I'm done wasting my time.
Like it, don't like it, I'm through trying to please an A.I. algorithm.
I think this bolo is fabulous and that's the best explanation you're gonna get for now.
It's listed on my website if you want more.

Moments are just fragments of minutes, hours, days weeks, months and years.
Some fade, some become more and most just slip through our fingertips like dust, because everything and nothing can be captured in any given moment.

I am a human being, not a brand. Not a commodity.

Social media tells us we need to build our "brand." But what if you're tired of being a brand and just want to be a human?

What if creating content feels performative, exhausting, and disconnected from the reason you started making things in the first place? What if you're spending so much time documenting your work that you have less time to actually create it?

That's where I'm at.

I loathe creating content instead of art. Some days social media feels genuinely unhealthy—like a machine constantly demanding more attention, more output, more performance. Sometimes it even feels evil.

There are days when I want to delete it all and disappear. Days when I genuinely feel like giving up.

I miss the idea of a simpler time. A time when artists made things because they felt compelled to make them. When the work could exist without needing to be optimized, packaged, or fed into an algorithm.

Maybe that's nostalgia. Maybe not.

Either way, I'm at a point where I want to make art, I'm sick of spending half my time on content that gets seen for less than 10 seconds.

It feels like a waste of time.

If we're not choosing the work that takes longer to make and asks more of us as humans, what are we even doing?

In the coming months, I'm going to be dialing back on making "content" for social media, so I can focus on making amazing work instead!!!

But to stay connected through email I need your email! 😁

The Tibetan Wind Horse is a symbol of the human soul.
It's not stagnant or solid.
Its form whisps with the clouds, and flows like the invisible wind. Their unrestrained motion is a testament to the power of the soul.
Projects like these are not usually straight forward, but that is kinda the point.
You'll be able to see this and other local artists takes on the Wind Horse in July at the Red Peak Gallery!
