Last week Freshlist headed up to Mai’s farm in Taylorsville. It’s one of the most beautiful and unique farms you’ll see anywhere!
85 pounds of these yard long beans will be heading to Virginia Beach for Farm Aid in a couple weeks along with lots of other local produce from across the Carolinas. Being able to offer such a wide product variety from our farm partners each season is one of the best parts of produce in the Carolinas.

NEW MARKET PRODUCT
Chef Dan Barber’s company started in 2018 with the mission of breeding vegetables specifically for chefs. The company’s mission was to breed vegetables for flavor and to take the seed stock from the best tasting varieties to sell to other farms. In a mission to diversify their hard squashes, has tackled the koginut this year.

Exciting news for Thursday market goers!
We are now sourcing that will be brought in fresh on Thursday morning. Tomorrow you can expect country loaves, sliced loaves, and a few english muffins and focaccia. If you're someone who shows up later in the market, we think we've ordered enough so that it won't run out in the first hour! 🤞

This trial pepper (known by a combination of letters and numbers) has never been grown in North Carolina and few have ever tasted it. This year trialed several rows and Brent and Anthony tasted them for the first time straight off the plant. This pepper will be available exclusively through Freshlist!
