Looking to add something to your high schooler's experience? Our high school group is designed to blend social learning, relationship building, personal exploration, and thoughtful preparation for life after high school, without changing your current homeschooling.

Drawing inspiration from the work of researcher and author Blake Boles, particularly College Without High School, Panthers encourage students to think beyond the traditional high school-to-college pathway. Rather than simply checking boxes, students are supported in exploring their interests, identifying their goals, and finding creative, meaningful ways to build the experiences, skills, and credentials they may need for their next steps—whether that leads to college, career, entrepreneurship, further training, or something entirely their own.

The goal isn’t to create a one-size-fits-all path to adulthood. It’s to help young people learn how to design a path that makes sense for them.

Happy International Day of Friendship.

We believe friendship is a practice, not a find. We make room.

To make room.
To listen.
To disagree and stay curious.
To notice when someone is being left out.
To apologize.
To try again.
To make space for someone else to be exactly who they are.

And we hope Wild Roots gives our kids plenty of opportunities to practice it: muddy hands, shared discoveries, ridiculous games, hard conversations, inside jokes, and new friendships.

Because learning how to be a good friend might just be one of the most important things we learn.

You don't have to be a Wild Roots member to help grow Wild Roots!

Maybe you love what we're building.

Maybe you believe kids deserve more opportunities to explore, connect, and learn together.

Maybe you just want to help make sure a child doesn't miss out because of the cost.

There are lots of ways to support our mission:

Wear it. Our Bonfire merch helps fund community events and field trips. bonfire.com/store/wrhg-merch-store/

Give directly. Donations to our Rainbow Fund help remove financial barriers so more children can participate in Wild Roots experiences. givebutter.com/rainbow-fund

Spread the word. Share our posts, tell a friend, or connect us with a business or organization that wants to support accessible, curiosity-driven learning.

Our families already give so much of themselves—volunteering, serving their communities, and helping create the experiences that make Wild Roots special.

But communities grow when more people choose to invest in them.

So if you've ever thought, “I love what Wild Roots is doing,” here's your chance to help us keep doing it.

Wear the shirt. Make the donation. Share the mission.

Representatives from C & F Bank joined us yesterday to lead a financial literacy workshop, and our kids had a fantastic time learning about saving, budgeting, and making smart money choices.

The activities sparked some genuinely thoughtful conversations, and it was exciting to see the kids asking questions, sharing ideas, and thinking about money in new ways. We're so grateful to C & F Bank for investing in our community and helping our students build lifelong skills!
