The Messenger - Indigenous peoples of the Northwest view the Raven as the entity who brought light, stars and sun to the world. Also thought of as a messenger from the Gods. This polymer clay Raven is Debbie Mercino. A beautiful piece of Anyolite, 2 pieces of Rhodochrosite sit atop, mauve colored lava beads and seed pods in the fringe. Sparkling cup chain surround the top stone and crystal beads in the fringe for some sparkle. Some really cool Titanium treated quartz chunks mixed amongst the stones. A very earthy piece. Measures 4 3/4" wide at the widest point and from the very top to the bottom of the fringe is 6 3/4". It seems like I'm drawn to the West and everything associated with it :) This polymer clay 'Shaman' is by Debbie Mercurio. The 3 stones are Feldspar. This piece was made around those 3 black stones in the center. The material is called Tektite. Tektite forms when a meteor hits the earth and the molten material is shot up. As the material falls back and cools you get Tektite. The stars represent where the material came from. The two pieces of fossilized coral, the orthoceras fossil and the small pieces of deer hide represent earth. A large snakeskin jasper donut with a iridescent face sits above it all marvel at the process. This very cool lady is by Terri Wlaschin. I used a nice piece of Carnelian to serve as the center of the flower umbrella she sits under and hand carved Carnelian flowers. SOLD Chunker is ready to go to his new home :) You can see the process evolve since the beginning idea. I used shorter coral spikes, and added the 2 green stones for better balance. My mind seems to demand symmetry lol Switched out the 3 teardrop shaped fire cracked Agates for darker stones since the original idea.

Starting to take shape now :) Each project seems to change as it goes. I swapped out the bottom Fire Cracked Agates for a few darker ones to carry the color from the coral spikes down the piece
