What if the universe is connected to itself in ways we can’t directly see? 🌌🍩
A “doughnut-shaped” universe does not mean space is literally shaped like a giant donut. It refers to a possible topology where traveling far enough in one direction could, in theory, eventually bring you back to your starting point.
In this kind of model, space could be finite but have no physical edge or boundary. Scientists study patterns in the cosmic microwave background and the distribution of galaxies to test whether the universe might have this kind of connected geometry.
For now, this remains a hypothesis, not a confirmed description of the cosmos.
The universe may be far stranger than simply infinite space stretching forever.
