Day 17: A Little Less. A Little More. — a Belief Redesign™ series exploring the shifts that can become possible when we work with the beliefs and learned patterns underneath how we think, feel, and respond.

Imagine a little less hypervigilance. And a little more feeling at ease.

Sometimes we learn to stay alert.

Watching for a change in someone’s mood.
Noticing the slightest shift in tone.
Anticipating what might go wrong.
Trying to stay one step ahead.

That kind of vigilance may have made sense in certain experiences or environments.

But sometimes the mind and body continue watching for what might happen—even when the present moment is different.

This is part of the work I do through Belief Redesign™.

We can become curious about what you learned to anticipate, the beliefs connected to that response, and whether those old expectations still fit what’s happening today.

The goal isn’t to stop paying attention to genuine signals or convince yourself that everything is safe.

It’s the possibility of recognizing when you don’t need quite as much vigilance in this particular moment.

To notice:

Nothing needs my attention right now.
I don’t have to anticipate every possibility.
Maybe I can soften a little here.

Not letting your guard down when it’s needed.

Just having more access to ease when it isn’t.

A little less hypervigilance.
A little more feeling at ease.

Imagine what that might feel like. 💛

Day 16: A Little Less. A Little More. — a Belief Redesign™ series exploring the shifts that can become possible when we work with the beliefs and learned patterns underneath how we think, feel, and respond.

Imagine a little less need for control. And a little more flexibility.

Wanting some control over our lives is completely understandable.

But sometimes the need for control becomes less about preference—and more about trying to prevent uncertainty, disappointment, mistakes, or something going wrong.

If I can anticipate everything…
If I can make sure this goes according to plan…
If I can stay one step ahead…

Maybe then I'll be okay.

This is part of the work I do through Belief Redesign™.

We can become curious about what's underneath the need for control.

What does uncertainty mean to you?
What are you afraid might happen if you don't know what's coming?
What has your mind learned about being prepared?

As those underlying beliefs and patterns begin to shift, there may be more room for flexibility.

Not giving up control of the things that genuinely matter.

Not becoming passive.

But developing a little more capacity to say:

I don't know exactly how this will go—and I can meet what comes.

A little less need for control.
A little more flexibility.

Imagine what that might feel like. 💛

Day 15: A Little Less. A Little More. — a Belief Redesign™ series exploring the shifts that can become possible when we work with the beliefs and learned patterns underneath how we think, feel, and respond.

Imagine a little less overthinking. And a little more clarity.

Thinking things through can be useful.

But sometimes thinking becomes an attempt to create certainty.

We replay. Analyze. Predict. Reconsider.

What if I missed something?
What if I make the wrong choice?
What if something goes wrong?

And strangely, the harder we search for absolute certainty, the harder clarity can become to find.

This is part of the work I do through Belief Redesign™.

We can become curious about what's underneath the overthinking.

What are you trying to prevent?
What would it mean to make the “wrong” decision?
What feels difficult about not knowing for sure?

Clarity doesn't always mean having every answer.

Sometimes it's having enough information to choose—and enough trust in yourself to take the next step.

A little less overthinking.
A little more clarity.

Imagine what that might feel like. 💛

Day 14: A Little Less. A Little More. — a Belief Redesign™ series exploring the shifts that can become possible when we work with the beliefs and learned patterns underneath how we think, feel, and respond.

Imagine a little less perfectionism. And a little more grace.

Perfectionism can look like having high standards.

But underneath it, there can sometimes be something more:

Fear of getting it wrong.
Fear of criticism.
Fear of disappointing someone.
Or a belief that mistakes say something important about who we are.

This is part of the work I do through Belief Redesign™.

We can become curious about what perfectionism is trying to prevent—and what you have learned to believe might happen if you aren't perfect.

Grace doesn't mean lowering every standard or no longer caring about doing things well.

It means allowing yourself to be human while you're learning, growing, trying, and occasionally getting things wrong.

To make a mistake without making the mistake mean something terrible about you.

A little less perfectionism.
A little more grace.

Imagine what that might feel like. 💛

Day 13: A Little Less. A Little More. — a Belief Redesign™ series exploring the shifts that can become possible when we work with the beliefs and learned patterns underneath how we think, feel, and respond.

Imagine a little less “What’s wrong with me?”
And a little more “What do I need?”

Those two questions can take us in very different directions.

What’s wrong with me? can turn a difficult moment into a judgment about who we are.

Why am I reacting like this?
Why can't I just get over it?
Why do I keep doing this?

But what if, instead of immediately judging the response, we became curious about it?

What do I need?

Maybe you need reassurance.
A boundary.
Rest.
More information.
A moment to settle.
Or simply some compassion for what you're experiencing.

This is at the heart of Belief Redesign™.

Instead of treating a familiar reaction as evidence that something is wrong with you, we can become curious about what's underneath it.

What am I feeling? What am I believing? What might this response be trying to accomplish? What do I need now?

The question doesn't magically solve everything.

But it can change the conversation you're having with yourself.

A little less “What's wrong with me?”
A little more “What do I need?”

Imagine what that might feel like. 💛

10/05/2026

What would you like a little less of?

And what would you like a little more of?

That question became the inspiration behind my A Little Less. A Little More. series.

Because sometimes we become so focused on what we want to stop doing or feeling that we don't spend much time considering:

What do I want instead?

Less self-doubt. More self-trust.
Less overthinking. More clarity.
Less self-criticism. More self-compassion.
Less bracing. More ease.

Belief Redesign™ isn't about simply replacing one thought with a “better” one.

It's about getting curious about the beliefs, emotional learning, and familiar patterns underneath how we think, feel, and respond—and creating opportunities for something different.

So I'll ask you the question I've been asking throughout this series:

What would you like a little LESS of?
And a little MORE of?

I'd love to hear your pair in the comments. 🌿

And if you're ready to explore what may be underneath your own patterns, you're welcome to schedule a complimentary Let's Talk Call with me.

Day 12: A Little Less. A Little More. — a Belief Redesign™ series exploring the shifts that can become possible when we work with the beliefs and learned patterns underneath how we think, feel, and respond.

Imagine a little less proving. And a little more being.

Sometimes accomplishment isn't just about enjoying what we can do.

It can quietly become evidence.

Evidence that we're capable.
Successful.
Worthy.
Good enough.

And when achievement becomes tied to how we experience our value, there can always be one more thing to prove.

This is part of the work I do through Belief Redesign™.

We can get curious about the beliefs underneath that drive.

What am I hoping this will prove?
And who am I trying to prove it to?

Being doesn't mean giving up ambition or no longer striving for things that matter to you.

It's the possibility that you can do, achieve, contribute, and grow without every accomplishment having to justify who you are.

A little less proving.
A little more being.

Imagine what that might feel like. 💛

Day 11:A Little Less. A Little More. — a Belief Redesign™ series exploring the shifts that can become possible when we work with the beliefs and learned patterns underneath how we think, feel, and respond.

Imagine a little less people-pleasing. And a little more authenticity.

Caring about other people isn't the problem.

But sometimes caring becomes automatically adjusting ourselves to keep someone else comfortable.

Saying yes when we want to say no.
Holding back what we really think.
Trying to anticipate what someone needs from us.
Becoming who we think we're supposed to be in the room.

People-pleasing can have beliefs and emotional learning underneath it—about approval, belonging, conflict, rejection, or what we learned was required to feel accepted.

This is part of the work I do through Belief Redesign™.

We can become curious about what makes being yourself feel risky and what the people-pleasing pattern may have learned to accomplish.

Authenticity doesn't mean saying everything you think or disregarding other people's feelings.

It means having a little more freedom to remain connected to yourself while you're connected to someone else.

A little less people-pleasing.
A little more authenticity.

Imagine what that might feel like. 💛

Day 10: A Little Less. A Little More. — a Belief Redesign™ series exploring the shifts that can become possible when we work with the beliefs and learned patterns underneath how we think, feel, and respond.

Imagine a little less need for approval. And a little more self-validation.

Wanting approval is human.

It feels good to be appreciated, understood, included, or told we've done something well.

But sometimes approval can begin to feel like something we need in order to feel okay about ourselves or our choices.

Do they think I did a good job?
Are they upset with me?
Was that the right decision?
What will they think?

Over time, looking outside ourselves for reassurance can become such a familiar pattern that we may barely notice we're doing it.

This is part of the work I do through Belief Redesign™.

We can become curious about what makes someone else's approval feel so important. What have you learned to believe their approval—or disapproval—means about you?

As those underlying beliefs and emotional patterns begin to shift, there may be more room to validate your own experience.

To say:

I know what matters to me.
I can listen to my own perspective.
Someone else can see this differently—and I can still be okay with my choice.

Self-validation doesn't mean never valuing another person's opinion.

It means their approval doesn't always have to determine your own.

A little less need for approval.
A little more self-validation.

Imagine what that might feel like. 💛

And sometimes, it gets very good at noticing what went wrong, what’s missing, or what you could have done better.

The Evidence of Good Journal is a simple practice for giving your attention a little more of the story.

Not positive thinking.
Not pretending everything is wonderful.
Just intentionally noticing and recording some of the evidence your brain might otherwise overlook:

🌿 Something good around you
🌿 Something good you did
🌿 A moment you want to remember

Over time, those moments become something you can return to and remember the good.

You are building proof.
