Jaylen Brown explained how he saved millions by skipping an NBA agent on draft night and relying on the NBA Players Association instead. 👏🏾💯

Brown believes 60% of NBA players lose most of their wealth because the traditional agency model is broken. Instead of signing with an agent, he realized they were offering perks like a house, a car, and cash advances—but in return would take 4% of his future earnings.

Instead, he relied on the NBA Players Association, which every player already pays into through union dues, giving him access to lawyers, financial advisors, investigators, and other professional resources.

“The math wasn’t mathing for me.”

Brown went No. 3 overall without an agent or any formal representation and has since earned hundreds of millions in NBA contract earnings. 💰
