(PROFILE)→ Redesigning the Thing With Norman Teague
We sat down with Norman Teague, a Chicago-based designer, educator, and cultural builder whose work spans furniture, public art, interiors, exhibitions, and community-driven initiatives. In our latest feature, Teague reflects on the lessons embedded in Chicago’s rhythm and history, the role of travel as a lifelong source of inspiration, and why listening and observation remain at the core of his practice. From designing objects that invite curiosity and contemplation to creating pathways for future generations through education and mentorship, Teague’s work demonstrates how design can function as both a creative discipline and a catalyst for community.

(WEAR) → COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS Jacket in Black
A garment built around transformation. Worn closed, it reads as a compact bomber with an exaggerated shell-like volume.
Open the arm zips, and the silhouette begins to unfold. Hidden ruched panels emerge, shifting the shape from controlled to expressive. The front and back zippers offer multiple ways of wearing it. Partially opened, they create depth and movement. Fully released, they expand the jacket outward, altering its proportions.
Each adjustment creates a different expression of the garment. ←

(CARRY)→ Omar Afridi
We carry Omar Afridi for the consistency of its world building. The silhouettes, the material choices, the construction, the interiors, the imagery. Everything moves with the same brutalist clarity without chasing trend or category.
The clothes are minimal without being empty, futurist without abandoning permanence. That balance between what feels ahead of its time and what remains.

(RELEASE) → Air Jordan x Nigel Sylvester 4 Retro SP “Sail / Cinnabar”
Building on his previous collection, Nigel Sylvester’s “Brick After Brick” line reflects the next step in not only chasing your dreams, but sustaining them. For the AJ4, that vision comes through in premium leather construction and signature details like floating eyestays and mesh-inspired accents, keeping the silhouette as timeless as it was in ’89.

Lee Ufan is a Korean artist and philosopher known for his minimalist sculptures and installations that explore the relationship between material, space, and perception. Using raw elements like stone and steel, his work creates quiet moments of tension, balance, and reflection.
His philosophy and approach to space became a major source of inspiration while developing both SVRN storefronts, influencing the way we thought about materiality, openness, and the interaction between objects, architecture, and people within the space.
