Feeling like a butterfly today!

I had been in my little cocoon of self doubt and uncertainty for so long. Now that I’m finally opening up and spreading my wings the doors are just opening up for me!

Opportunities I never imagined are right at my fingertips now and it’s such an amazing feeling!

Remember that you are your greatest roadblock. Once you learn to move past your own insecurities and fears you can literally do anything!

What is one thing you will do to center yourself this week?

I’m going to do more picnics in the park. There’s a beautiful park just down the road and I never go because I’m telling myself that I don’t have time. This week I’m going to try to go twice.

You guys! The self care workshop was a huge success! So many BIWOC showed up and showed out to talk about the practice of self care and why it’s such an important part of our success. Thank you to everyone who attended, your support means everything to me!

I’m leading my first workshop and I can not describe to you all how EXCITED I am to be doing this. Women of color have been caregivers and caretakers of this world for so long we forget to focus on ourselves. We forget to love ourselves. We forget that we can LITERALLY achieve anything we set our minds to.

If you had asked me last year if I thought I would be where I am today I would have laughed out loud. But I found strength in learning to love myself and have used that to build this platform where I can teach and encourage other women to find that same strength.

Idk about y’all but has been so good for my hair! Being home has given me the time to really focus on my coils and honey they are loving the attention! My hair has grown at least 3 inches in the last 3 months!

Last year for my birthday I had the privilege of seeing live in London. It was fantastic, but I couldn’t dance or belt the lyrics to each song without getting crazy looks from members of the tightly packed audience. So naturally tonight I’m going to act a fool in my living room. Is a Hamilton costume doing too much?

This time last year I was at the West St Paul Cinco De Mayo festival. My life has changed so much since then, and I’m grateful for the experiences that I’ve had and the memories that I’ve made. Sometimes it’s important to look back at our memories and reflect on how they led you to where you are now. Instead of thinking about who you were, focus on who you have become and how you can continue to grow and evolve into the best version of you.
