October was one of Logan’s favorite months. He loved Halloween, the decorations, the costumes, the movies, all the things that make this time of year fun to be a kid.

For almost a year, we’ve been building The Logan Foundation website. It’s been ready for a while, but when something carries Logan’s name and means this much, it’s hard to ever feel like it’s ready enough.

At some point, we had to stop chasing perfect and remember why we built it in the first place.

For Logan. For kids like him. For families like ours.

So we’re putting this here to hold ourselves accountable:

September turns gold for childhood cancer awareness.

But for families living it, this isn’t a month.

It’s every morning.
Every hospital room.
Every interrupted plan.
Every attempt to hold onto something normal.

That’s where we come in.

Not to make cancer the center of the story.

To make sure childhood still has a place in it.

More play.
More music.
Favorite meals.
Real connection.
Moments where a kid gets to forget the room they’re in and simply be who they are.

Because awareness matters.

But so does what we do with it.

Protect childhood.
Protect joy.
Still a Kid.

💛 September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

We are incredibly proud to introduce Vanessa Perez as the first Marathon Ambassador for The Logan Foundation. 💛⚡

This October, V will take on her first Chicago Marathon, running for Ronald McDonald House Charities in memory of Logan and in support of families like ours.

Running a marathon is something V has wanted to do for a long time. What she never knew was that before she ever reached a starting line, she would endure a very different kind of marathon alongside Logan. One our family never signed up for and one he certainly never chose.

Now, she runs for him.

Every turn. Every mile.

As The Logan Foundation’s first Marathon Ambassador, V will carry Logan’s light and his story through 26.2 miles while raising support for an organization that means so much to families facing childhood illness.

We could not be prouder of her or more honored to have Logan at the heart of every mile.
