to a Casino Night Fundraiser
One of my favorite signs that it is almost Summer is the Spring Fling kick-off at our local Social & Swim Club. This year's theme was Casino night and was perfect for J and I. He got to sit at the poker table and I got to chat with everyone. A ton of fun for everyone!
This ensemble:
🍊 Ungaro Holland dress
🪙 Veronica Beard Favia shoes
🍉 Noonday bag
What is your favorite sign of Summertime?

Sunshine silk and crisp stripes — the kind of pieces that make getting dressed feel effortless. ✨
This flowing butter-yellow dress brings movement and softness, while the striped trench adds just the right amount of structure and drama. Together, they strike that perfect balance between polished and easygoing — equally at home at brunch, a gallery afternoon, or an evening out.
Vintage pieces always tell the best stories, and these two are ready for their next chapter.
Dress is 1969-1971 Malcolm Starr / vintage size 10
Jacket is S/S 2021 Comme de Garçon / size M

Last night was the biggest night of the year for fashion lovers! The Met Gala is a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Arts’s Costume Institute, a program that is entirely self-funded. The Costume Institute has more than thirty-three thousand objects representing seven centuries of fashionable dress and accessories for men, women, and children, from the fifteenth century to the present and also entails a state-of-the-art conservation laboratory, in addition to a study facility for researchers to access the collection.
The theme for this year’s exhibition is Costume Art, which led to the dress code theme “Fashion is Art.” This year’s sartorial offerings were heavy on the human body and we saw a lot of hands, heads, skeletal features, men’s upper bodies (both true and fashion likeness) and several moulded ni***es! As always, there were visions that I thought were truly incredible, some that left me a bit dubious, and many that were lovely but safe which is not in keeping with the spirit of the MET Gala (particularly when the theme is art focused!)
In no particular order, here are my favorites from last night along with the details of their gown / ensemble:
1. Emma Chamberlain in Mugler
2. Audrey Nuna in Robert Wun
3. Tessa Thompson in Valentino
4. Rihanna in Maison Margiela
5. ASAP Rocky in Chanel
6. Sabrina Carpenter in Dior
7. Grace Ling in Grace Ling
8. Teyana Taylor in Tom Ford
9. Anok Yai in Balenciaga
10. Grace Gummer in Gabriela Hearst
11. Doja Cat in Saint Laurent
12. Chase Infiniti in Thom Browne
13. Rosé in Saint Laurent
14. Julianne Moore in Bottega Veneta
15. Adut Akech in Thom Browne
16. Aurora James in FW’92 Emmanuel Ungaro
17. Naomi Watts in Dior
18. Yseult in Harris Reed
19. EJAE in Swarovski
20. Laura Harrier in Di Petsa

🏇🏽 Derby Party 🏇🏽
Fun fact about me: I really love watching Horse Race while also doing it very infrequently.
So derby day is always a lot of fun for me. And not only do I love cheering during the race but I also get to do it wearing a standout dress and a great hat / fascinator.
This year, I wore my favorite broad-brimmed hat that is the most fun shade of pink with a favorite floral dress that I rarely have occasion to wear. The pièce de résistance, though, has got to be this 1980's Gucci Horse Hooves Necklace that I borrowed from the shop.
Swipe if you'd want to see the whole fit. And tell me what you did for Derby Day!
👗 A note about this dress: it was made almost 13 years ago by artist for our engagement photos. And by "made," I mean Kristine drew this dress's design AND DREW / painted the floral design ON the fabric. Then she sewed the dress!! She is amazing and definitely worth a follow!

Love, love Sabrina in this 1986 Bob Mackie beauty, "The Swamp Dress." She wore it to MTV VMAs back in September 2025. It's the perfect style for that awards show and fits her so wonderfully.
10/10, no notes! 🥇
Check out my stories for the Bob Mackie pieces that we have available in the shop. And be a little unexpected and a lot of fashion history at your next party. ✨

Lunch With Friends Edition
One of my daughter's friends had a fun Alice in Wonderland tea party (shout out to the adorableness hosted by ). While the party was going on, our friend group took advantage of a little free time and headed out to lunch together.
For an easy breezy lunch, I chose:
🍊 My 1960s Chanel Jacket (part of a suit set)
👖 A new pair of (DL1961) wide-leg denim
🧡 A fave handbag
Classic tee + jeans but make it vintage scenario. 🤗

At a certain point in life, many of us veer toward bigger handbags so that we can carry all of the things that we "need" and have them at a moments notice. The good news for all of you big bag lovers is that the prediction is that the early 2000's big bag trend is coming back.
But I will always, always love a tiny bag for a fun night out. When you are out on the town, exploring new places or attending a fabulous event, you need a small bag to travel light.
If you are with me on this theory, I have a great piece for you! This adorable 1978 Bottega Veneta black leather clutch evening bag is so fabulous. Made in Italy, stamped inside, and lined in satin. Includes a branded dust bag.
Visit kittycurated.com for more info or comment BOTTEGA and I will DM you the direct link for this bag. 💋
