HONEY BLO

In a nutshell, l was reaching out to inquiry about interviewing you for the book that l am working on, because l would like to learn more about your passion for playing the funky/blues bagpipe. In the future, it would be incredible to collaborate with you on some of the events that the Rufus Harley foundation sponsors. All in all, thank you immensely for taking the time to read this inquiry, and l am looking forward to a possible future collaboration. Thank you for everything that you sacrificed for the music. Peace, blessings, and harmony.

Dear Mr. Honey Blo,

First let me introduce myself. My name is America B. Patton. I am one of the children of Rufus Harley Jr. I serve with the Rufus Harley foundation, which focuses on preserving our father's legacy, and music. I learned that my father influenced Duke Payne to start performing jazz on the bagpipes. I am in the process of writing a biography about my father's life, and l am in the beginning stages of envisioning a documentary on my father. I currently live in Kansas City, KS. I am a substitute teacher, musician, writer, and social historian who is committed to preserving history in my community. Particularly music history, and the history of Quindaro, KS, and Western University, the forgotten Historically black University that existed in Kansas that closed in 1943. I am also the father of a 14 year daughter. My daughter currently attends Sumner Academy of the Arts and Sciences in Kansas City, Kansas.
