DM if you want a custom engraved license plate

06/22/2026

Big changes happening... People seem to think that because I draw for a living that it's all fun and games and tend to devalue what they're getting for whatever reasons. That stops today. For one, as a business owner, your logo can be written off on your taxes. Also, if you want a logo for $50 , do you even see value in your own business? The logo is the face of your business. If that's only worth crumbs to you, does your business even have any real value? People are always looking for the cheapest. You get what you pay for. There's a lot more that goes into it than sketching. Unfortunately, when you go with that cheap option, you end up with a "picture" that doesn't translate when you want to put it on a business card or a sign or a shirt, etc. I hate when people opt for the cheap image for a logo. It makes it so professionals like myself get thrown in the shade for people who have nowhere near the amount of experience, knowledge, and education as I do. I encourage you to read this in its entirety to get a better understanding.

$1,500 to $2,500 is the absolute baseline minimum a business should expect to pay a designer with 20 years of experience for a custom logo. Most veteran designers will charge well beyond this. When hiring a master-level designer, you are no longer paying just for hours spent drawing shapes. You are paying for two decades of deep industry intuition, advanced brand strategy, and flawless technical ex*****on.
Why Veterans Cost More (The Real Value Breakdown):

Speed Born of Competence: A legendary anecdote in design tells of a master who draws a logo in 5 minutes and charges $10,000. When questioned about the time, they reply: "It took me 5 minutes, and 20 years to know exactly how to draw it in 5 minutes." You pay for rapid, precise ex*****on.

Deep Strategic Vetting: A 20-year veteran knows market history. They understand what visuals are overused, what tropes fail in specific industries, and how to avoid accidental trademark infringement with existing global brands.

Future-Proof Assets: Experienced designers build vectors optimized for every medium—from massive corporate building signage to microscopic app icons—saving your company thousands of dollars in future formatting fixes.

The "Insurance Policy": A veteran doesn't need hand-holding. They manage the timeline flawlessly, ask the right deep-dive business questions, and provide a seamless corporate experience.

Typical Pricing Structures for a 20-Year Veteran Pricing Model Minimum Rate: What you actually get... Minimum Flat Project Fee $1,500 - $5,000 - A localized corporate logo, 2-3 hyper-refined distinct concepts, and final production file handoffs. Veteran Hourly Rate$100 - $250/hour Billed directly for consulting, research, and deep identity exploratory phases. Full Identity Package $5,000 - $15,000+ The custom logo, custom typography, brand guidelines, color theory boards, and asset templates

My brother from another, Glenn Rarrat approached me with a request for a T-shirt design for an upcoming event. Say less. I created a quick 5-minute sketch for design approval, and this is the result.
