Meet Mia Aklufi, one of our Summer Interns. Mia Aklufi is a junior studying Computer Science at University of Chicago. Mia will be focusing on knowledge and innovation projects with Andrew Sharp, CARPLS’ Knowledge Strategy Manager.

CARPLS gives a warm welcome to Ameera Morrison, one of our Summer Interns. Ameera is a 2L at University of Illinois Chicago. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign in Public Policy and Law. During her time with us, she will work on the main hotline and complete research projects.

CARPLS is extremely thrilled to welcome Ashley Thorne, our new Community Engagement Coordinator. Ashley brings extensive experience in program coordination, stakeholder engagement, workforce development, and community relations. Most recently, she served as Program Coordinator at OAI, Inc.

Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a commitment to fostering collaborative environments, strengthening organizational effectiveness, and supporting meaningful community impact. We are excited to welcome Ashley to CARPLS and look forward to the experience and energy she will bring to this new position.
