The Rotten Report

A time was had last night at The Dent Schoolhouse! Fantastic as always and celebrating 30 years of scares! They’ve done some major rehauls this year on certain areas so if you’re thinking about going, I highly recommend it. Loved all the additions to the midway at the end where as you can see I got detention for obviously flipping off Ghostface and for chainsawing someone. Congrats to the crew on an amazing show. Here’s to 30 more!

As always HorrorHound was an absolute blast. And as always I feel like I never have enough time to stop and chat with everyone I want to. But, man I did catch up with a lot of friends this weekend and made some new friends to boot. After 15 years of waiting I finally got to meet Malcolm McDowell who was an absolute pleasure to meet. Also met the legendary Barbara Steele from Black Sunday. Checked out Shawn Burkett’s new film The Devil You Know at its world premiere which was probably his most serious film to date. Had a great time at Third Eye Brewing Company with Donna and Kayle. And at long last, finally got to spend some much needed time with one of my best friends, Billy Meadows and got to meet his baby boy. (It was good to see you too Jada, 😂) Horrorhound came and went just like Christmas, far too fast. It’s been a real time and I’ll be looking forward to the next one in March. Until next time!

Drawing for the Horrorhound Weekend passes later today, stay tuned!!

Seasonal flavors, including the returning pumpkin roll are live at Axe & Sledge Supplements! The pumpkin roll is probably one of my top 5 protein flavors, it perfectly blends pumpkin, spice and cream cheese. NEW! Campfire peanut butter cup! A perfect mix of peanut butter cup and s’mores! Both flavors are packing 25 grams of protein and varies from 100-130 calories. Farm Fed is also one of the healthiest proteins on the market due to being 100% protein isolate. Terribly saddened to hear about the passing of Jim Krut, who was my absolute favorite zombie in Dawn of the Dead. I was very fortunate to have met him last year at Living Dead Weekend inside the Monroeville Mall where the film was made. He was one of the kindest people I’ve ever met and was genuinely happy to be there meeting and chatting with fans. My heart goes out to his family and friends. We’ll miss you helicopter zombie.

My copy of Obsession came in yesterday and I’m so, so, so, so excited to revisit it. My gosh this movie was unnerving and extremely unsettling at times. Really well done by Curry Barker. inde fabi navarrette deserves all the awards for her performance in this. And award for most pathetic character in a movie goes to Michael Johnston’s Bear. If this doesn’t get movie of the year I’ll be EXTREMELY surprised because the hype is real and it is that good. Also shoutout to Megan Lawless’ Sarah for being the real MVP to Bear even though he was too blind to see it. Y’know until THAT scene happens. Across the board this film is extremely well shot, has an amazing score and a story that really and literally keeps you at the edge of your seat the entire time. Go grab yourself a copy today and prepare to be obsessed.

Had one of the coolest sporting related experiences yesterday. Got to visit Paycor Stadium for one of the season ticket holder events thanks to my buddy Brandon. They allow you onto the field, let you check out their locker room and workout facility. He even bought a football so we could toss and “run plays” on the field. It was a pretty surreal experience being out there and has me pumped for Bengals season. Yes, I even got a picture with Who Dey, because of course I was going to. Very appreciative of my friend for thinking of me and inviting me to go along. Pretty unforgettable experience. Cincinnati Bengals Official Paycor Stadium
