I am truly astonished at the number of people who don’t believe Travis Hill is ☠️!

Not arguing either way. Just observing.

PLEASE NOTE:
‼️Due to inflation‼️
My .02 is now worth .04375.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

How do you hold someone you view as a “hero” accountable?

And wouldn’t the baseline 101 level of hero be to WANT to be held accountable?

Just my overpriced .02

The fuel budget has currently absorbed the “assless chaps” fund. 🤷

Honest question:

If you found yourself in Lavaca County Misdemeanor Court, Lavaca County Sheriff Steven Greenwell’s Deputies arrested you and Lavaca County Attorney James Reeves’ office is prosecuting you:

How would this make you feel?

Would you feel like the “Judge” is fair and honest?

So…
Now that I know what charities *could legally receive the Queen of Hearts money, maybe I’ll call them all and ask if they got it.
Why not?

🚨 TRAVIS HILL UPDATE 🚨

📂 RECORDS UPDATE: We’ve filed a public-information request with the Texas Department of Public Safety about the death of former Lavaca County Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Travis Hill.

⚖️ Hill was arrested July 11 on felony charges. He died July 16 in Gonzales County during a U.S. Marshals arrest attempt, and the Texas Rangers investigated his death. The criminal case ended with his death. The public’s questions didn’t.

🔍 Here’s one of those questions: Which court handled the official death inquiry? So far, no public report names the justice of the peace who held the inquest. When we called the Gonzales County Precinct 1 court, they couldn’t tell us.
We asked DPS for:
• The Texas Rangers’ report and case number
• Records identifying the justice of the peace and any autopsy records
• The agencies and officers present at the scene
• Any state or federal custodial-death report

📅 Under Texas law, DPS has 10 business days to release the records or ask the Attorney General for permission to withhold them. That puts the deadline around October 8. We’ll report what comes back.
His death does not end the record.

Where can the Queen of Hearts $ actually go?

NOT JUST *ANY CHARITY

🃏 In May 2025, right after the Queen of Hearts raid at The Shack in LaSalle, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office posted that “any portion received by the Sheriff’s Office through seizure will be distributed to nonprofit organizations within Jackson County.”
⚖️ That sounds generous. But Texas law doesn’t let forfeiture money go to just any nonprofit.
📜 Chapter 59 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, Article 59.06(d-1), says an agency may not use forfeiture money to “make a donation to any entity, except as provided by Subsection (d-2).”
Subsection (d-2) allows donations only to groups that help with:
• Detecting, investigating, or prosecuting crimes or child abuse
• Mental-health, drug, or rehabilitation services
• Services for victims or witnesses of crime or abuse
• Training or education for any of the above
🏠 Groups that serve Jackson County and appear to fit those categories include Mid-Coast Family Services (family-violence and sexual-assault victim services), Gulf Bend Center (mental-health and substance-use treatment, with a clinic in Edna), and Crime Stoppers (helps solve crimes). A general charity like a church, sports league, festival, or food pantry doesn’t fit, no matter how worthy it is.
Being on this list doesn’t mean a group got money or should have. The sheriff still has to decide the donation serves an official purpose, and it has to be budgeted and reported.
🔎 So the question is simple: which nonprofits received Queen of Hearts forfeiture money, how much did they get, and under which part of (d-2)? We’ve asked for the records. If everything was done by the book, we’ll say so.

Did your organization receive any of this money? Tell us.
