🎓 Congratulations to Jacob “Squirrel” Ritz! 🐿️

Jacob officially graduated from Ohio Technical College’s High Performance & Racing Technology program, and we’re definitely going to miss having Squirrel around campus.

From countless hours in the shop to a BMW that became pretty familiar around OTC, Jacob brought plenty of personality with him every day and made a lot of memories along the way.

Congratulations, Squirrel! You earned it. We’ll miss having you around OTC, and we’re excited to see where you go from here. 🏁🔧

Our Welding & Fabrication graduates are heading into the workforce ready to build, fabricate, repair, and put their skills to work. Some have already accepted positions, some are heading into union careers, and others are preparing to begin their careers in the skilled trades.

We’re also incredibly proud of Eric Mansour Jr., representing our Collision Repair & Refinishing Technology program. Eric is taking his skills into the collision industry and is a great example of where hard work and hands-on training can lead.

Welding offers more career paths than most people realize. Congratulations to Ohio Technical College Collision Repair & Refinishing student Michael Montalvo on being selected as a recipient of a $3,000 PPG Foundation Scholarship through the Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF)!

Michael was one of just 12 students nationwide selected to receive this scholarship. The latest edition of Technical Times is now available online and around campus. Stay up to date with what’s happening at Ohio Technical College.

✈️ You might picture a collision repair technician painting cars and trucks… but what about business jets?

Our Collision Repair & Refinishing students recently visited Flexjet, where they learned how skilled technicians refinish and paint some of the world’s most advanced private aircraft. From surface preparation to precision finishes, many of the same techniques used in automotive refinishing are applied on a much larger scale.

Even better, several Ohio Technical College alumni are currently part of the Flexjet team, helping keep these aircraft looking their best. It’s a great reminder that the skills learned in the classroom can lead to careers in industries many people never think about.
