Along with a variety of antique and ancient coin silvers, wood, bone and stone. I've been working as a full time jewelry artist for over 23 years in the Cleveland area but was born and educated in Northern England. How do you capture a lifetime of love in a piece of silver?
This portrait started with a single photograph of a beloved cat.
Weeks later, it became something that can be held in a hand, worn close to the heart, and passed down for generations.
Moments like these remind me why I started WTID Creative. After losing my own dog, Biscuit, I wanted to create something that could preserve not just a pet's likeness, but the feeling of seeing them look back at you.
I'd like to use artwork like this to help animal charities raise money.
If you know of a Humane Society, rescue, or other animal organization with an upcoming gala or auction, I'd love an introduction.
Rather than donating a finished portrait, I create a custom piece of the winning bidder's own companion.
That way, the auction winner doesn't receive a beautiful cat portrait—they receive their cat. The expression that greeted them every morning. The eyes that seemed to understand them. Those are the details I spend the most time perfecting, because they're what people remember most.
