Just a reminder, gender affirming care is normal and is supported by major medical organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association. Gender affirming care (GAC) can encompass medical, social, psychological and or surgical care that helps align an individual with their gender identity. The majority of gender affirming hormone care is often handled by primary care practitioners but there is still a significant lack of physicians and practitioners who offer this care.

Second Puberty

Taking gender affirming hormones such as testosterone and estrogen can feel like you are going through a second puberty.
Even though you chose this amazing gender journey, it is natural if there is still some angst associated with it.
