Poor air quality can make it harder to breathe, especially for children, older adults, and those with asthma, COPD, or other respiratory conditions.
We encourage our community to stay indoors when possible, keep windows closed, and limit outdoor activity until conditions improve.
If you are experiencing trouble breathing, wheezing, chest tightness, or worsening respiratory symptoms, please come to or call any of our 5 Centennial Medical Group and FirstCall Medical Center locations.

With extreme heat affecting the region FirstCall Medical Center and Centennial Medical Group encourage everyone to take extra precautions to protect themselves and their families.
High temperatures can quickly lead to dehydration, heat exhaustion, and other heat-related illnesses. Drink water regularly, limit outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day, and check on older adults, children, neighbors, and pets.
Be alert for symptoms such as heavy sweating, weakness, dizziness, headache, nausea, rapid pulse, fainting, or confusion. Move to a cooler area and seek medical attention when symptoms do not improve. Severe symptoms, loss of consciousness, or difficulty breathing require an immediate call to 911.
FirstCall Medical Center is available for prompt evaluation and treatment of dehydration, heat exhaustion, and other non-life-threatening medical concerns.
