Join us for the Ohio Fatherhood & Infant Vitality Summit — Friday, September 18, 2026, from 8:00 AM–2:00 PM at Mitchell Hall, Columbus State Community College.

Ohio has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the nation. Research shows father involvement is one of the most effective, most overlooked protective factors we have, and this summit puts that evidence into action.

We'll bring together policymakers, health systems, fatherhood leaders, and community organizations for a day focused on one goal: strengthening fathers, families, and infant health across Ohio.

As the Founder & CEO of Urban Family Development Center, I want to personally wish a Happy Father’s Day to the 2,200+ dads we’ve had the privilege of serving, and all the Dads2B we haven’t met yet.

Over the years, I’ve watched fathers fight for custody, fight for visitation, and fight to remain active in their children’s lives. I’ve watched men overcome their own pain and become the fathers they never had.

Serving fathers and families has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and I’m grateful that God has called me to this work.

I believe this with my whole heart:

Dad’s Matter Day in Columbus was a success, and now we’re headed to City of YOUngstown to close out the month celebrating fathers! Join us June 20 at Wean Park for Family Day, and June 24 for Dad Talk with Guy Burney. We’ll talk fatherhood, influence, consistency, co-parenting, leadership, faith, and family.
