Most of fatherhood doesn't happen on the highlight reel.
It happens in the quiet. The 6am cereal pour. The apology you didn't have to give but did anyway. The patience you found on the day you had none left.

Being a provider is only part of the job.
In his new piece for Men of Genius, Alfred Duran makes the case that emotional safety isn't soft — it's foundational. Our sons learn that vulnerability isn't weakness. Our daughters learn that love should feel secure and respectful. And all of it starts at home, because for most kids, we're the first blueprint they ever get.
