MedFlight is a not-for-profit, CAMTS-accredited air and ground critical care transportation company. MedFlight is made possible by our consortium hospitals including:
- OhioHealth
- The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
- Kettering Health System
Helicopter Aviation Services and sole operational control are contracted to MedFlight through Metro Aviation and Air Methods, Inc. Metro Aviation operates all helicopter operations except MedFlight 7 in Portsmouth, Ohio, which is operated by Air Methods, Inc. MedFlight reserves the right to remove offensive images/posts and/or images/posts that violate patient privacy.

Today, MedFlight and MedCare join our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honoring the extraordinary courage shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
We remember the firefighters, EMS professionals, law enforcement officers, healthcare workers, dispatchers, military members, and everyday citizens who ran toward danger to help others—many making the ultimate sacrifice.
For those of us who serve in emergency medicine, their courage carries a special meaning. Their actions remind us of the heart behind this profession: answering the call, caring for others, and standing together when people need us most.
Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, the survivors, and the heroes whose bravery will never be forgotten.
May we always remember the unity, compassion, and selflessness that brought our country together in the days that followed.

Busy saving lives! Fun fact, did you know the bright lime green on our aircraft’s is a safety feature? The bright colors allows us to be visible in various conditions and lighting for safe travels and landing!
