When you're trying to get some work done, but the kids just want to play🙃

Can anyone else relate?

We enjoyed the behind-the-scenes tour of the Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks Great Southern Metro Park. I was very impressed to hear about the relationships and impact they're having in this community.

Thank you to for hosting this event!

Step Outside is looking for a videographer for the weekend of October 2-4, to capture videos of students kayaking and canoeing in Columbus and Hocking Hills. Please tag a videographer or let us know if you're interested!

I recently took my niece and nephews creeking at Highbanks Metro Park .Throughout our time there, we were joined by a neighbor and other kids that they offered nets to.

It was so fun to see the kids connect and encourage each other while stepping outside and catching crawfish and minnows. This is what the outdoors can do!

The hats are in and we love them!

Please send a message if you're interested in purchasing a hat for $20 each. Proceeds will help kids get outside and have access to swimming lessons.

Thank you to for being so easy to work with and for creating these for us!

Leveling the Playing Field, Inc. has been instrumental in Step Outside's ability to provide necessary swimming gear to those we serve.

Over the past two years, LPF has provided over 1,000 pairs of swim goggles, as well as swimsuits, swim caps, and life jackets. This has been at no cost to Step Outside.

We're extremely sad to see that LPF is closing its doors at the end of the month. Not just because we no longer have access to this amazing resource, but also because we lose a supporter and friend.

A massive thank you goes to Erik and LPF for all that they've done to support the Columbus community!

It was a great sign to immediately come across Gingko leaves as I stepped onto Cristo Rey Columbus High School's campus for their Speeding Chatting event. This was a great way to meet the students who are excelling in their school and community.

P.S. We planted Ginkgo trees in memory of Thomas after he died.
