A Church Shaped by Christ Colossians 3:14–17
What does a church look like when Christ truly shapes its life together?
In Colossians 3:14–17, Paul gives us a beautiful picture of a Christ-centered church: a church bound together by the love of Christ, ruled by the peace of Christ, filled with the Word of Christ, and living in the name of Christ.
This message looks at how those truths should shape the way believers treat one another, worship together, forgive one another, encourage one another, and live as the body of Christ.
When Christ shapes the church, love binds us together, peace rules our relationships, His Word fills our hearts, and everything we do is done for His glory.

This month, we celebrate the pastors God has blessed LifeBridge Church with. We are grateful for their faithful service, compassionate leadership, prayers, teaching, encouragement, and the countless ways they love and care for our church family.

Do not be deceived.
One of the greatest dangers is believing you are right with God while continuing to live in sin without repentance.
Deception can sound spiritual, look religious, and still be far from genuine faith in Christ.
Turn from your sin and trust in Jesus Christ. He died for sinners, rose again, and offers forgiveness and new life to all who come to Him in faith.

In Colossians 3:9–14, Paul shows us that while there is a clear distinction between the church and the world, there are no distinctions within the body of Christ.
In Christ, we are one. Because of the mercy and grace we have received, we are called to show compassion, kindness, humility, patience, forgiveness, and love to one another.

Patience is loving someone while God is still working on them. People don’t always grow, change, or mature as quickly as we think they should. Biblical patience gives people grace and time, remembering that God is still working on us too. Be patient with people while God does His work in their lives.
