Cancer treatment can involve frequent appointments, complex decisions, and months—or even years—of ongoing care. Being able to receive that care close to home can make a meaningful difference for patients and their families.

New research from our partners at Community Oncology Alliance and Flatiron Health provides additional evidence that community oncology practices deliver high-quality outcomes.

In an analysis of nearly 98,000 patients, those treated in community oncology settings had better or similar survival outcomes compared with national benchmarks, including longer median survival for patients with metastatic breast cancer and metastatic non-small cell lung cancer.

At Pontchartrain Cancer Center, community oncology means more than a convenient location. It means:

đź’™ Personalized care from a team that knows you
đź’™ Access to treatment and supportive services in your own community
đź’™ Coordination among physicians, nurses, pharmacists, navigators, and other members of your care team
đź’™ Less time traveling and more time focused on what matters most

Our commitment is to provide compassionate, evidence-based cancer care while keeping patients at the center of every decision.
